Venatrix

Has one of the most spooky levels I’ve played recently but you have to survive the boring house parts in the beginning where you meet characters. Maybe I’m different, I enjoyed playing the Della character more maybe because it reminded me old school stealth games like Thief. The “alien” twist was inevitable but it was goofy for me.

Venatrix is a horror adventure developed and published by Playstige Interactive that seeks to combine psychological terror, supernatural mystery, and two dramatically different gameplay styles into a single experience. Set within a haunting Victorian-inspired world filled with unsettling visions and sinister creatures, the game follows a narrative that explores fear, trauma, and the fragile boundary between reality and nightmare. Interesting dilemma, you wanna play with guns or wanna play an annoying lady? I guess the choice is clear. It doesn’t change the plot much or ending, you just have either third-person action game or first-person stealth game. The voice acting was great especially those monsters aliens towards the end

This is going to be a very... mixed review. Firstly, this is an indie project. Don't expect anything "super"! Secondly, the game's price speaks for itself. Let's start with the game's graphics, which are its cornerstone. They're not the best, lacking detail, and there's some blur. But despite all this, they don't make you feel disgusted—you play calmly and quickly forget about them. There are bugs, sometimes critical ones. For example, my time in the game suddenly slowed down significantly, even though I'd simply loaded the beginning of the game. Restarting the game helped. The plot is intriguing. But it's presented in a terrible way—scraps of newspapers, papers, etc. And the worst thing is that the subtitles don't always load (I don't know what the problem is with just taking notes in text), so you don't really get everything you need. The controls are very basic, nothing overly complicated. In conclusion, the game can be completed, but only once, no more.

Two storylines, two characters, two completely different types of gameplay masterfully intersect in this game. Matthew has a gun, but Della has a completely different type of weapon: she becomes invisible when necessary (if you know what I mean). Actually, it's probably cool to play this on Steam Deck. Hm, I'll try it sometime!

Action or stealth? Dude, it's up to you. I prefer stealth, but like a true cowboy, I chose the male protagonist. And it was epic. I had a lot of fun using that shotgun ;)
