The mechanics for a good game are here, but the content isn't. This is the level of content I would expect from a free or $1-2 game, not a $5 one, and honestly I don't really expect much from a $5 one. There are three basic enemy types, two elite enemy types, one boss, and eight repeating background choices, and other than that it's just endless repetition. With some work this could be a great little game, because the graphics and sound and basic mechanics are all there, it's just that nothing else is. You can see 100% of what the game has to offer in half an hour if you're even remotely competent at shooters.

Pure, Addictive Fun Void Gore is a game that proves simplicity can be synonymous with fun. At first glance, it might seem like just another spaceship game, but its addictive gameplay and smart progression system guarantee hours of entertainment. Strengths Guaranteed Fun: The game is extremely enjoyable. The action is fast-paced, the enemies are varied, and each playthrough is a new experience, keeping the player constantly engaged. Addictive Progression: One of Void Gore's big highlights is its progression system. By defeating enemies, you earn coins that can be exchanged for significant upgrades to your ship, such as new weapons, stronger shields, and special abilities. This feeling of constant evolution is incredibly rewarding and motivates you to play "just one more round." Weaknesses Short Duration: The game is relatively short, which might leave you wanting more once you reach the end. Easy for Beginners: The learning curve is very smooth, which is great for newcomers, but it can be a negative point for more experienced players looking for a greater challenge from the start. Despite being a short game with a lower initial difficulty, this doesn't diminish Void Gore's b…

A gameplay similar to Z-Warp, the meta-progression of Null Drifter, and Game Boy Color aesthetics. A winning combination? Gameplay consists of "Hells", waves of enemies so short that sometimes you don't even realize you have moved on to the next. The bomb recharges automatically and strikes a certain radius around the ship, but when not complete it can still be used in emergencies to cancel incoming enemy bullets. No run is wasted because even the shortest ones will net some money, which can be accumulated to buy upgrades in a shop and have a better performing ship. Save the ship, which is always the same as previous games (including Feeble Light, where the "little star" was clearly an edited version), the spritework and backgrounds are of lower quality than the developer has shown to be capable of. The variety is also extremely low, which of course reflects also on the gameplay; the shop upgrades are few and it doesn't even take that long to get all of them, even more if you get an especially lucky run with many power-ups that make enemies nearly inoffensive. It's unfortunate that Panda Indie Studio seems to have peaked with Z-Warp, only to not be ca…

Not enough content in this shmup doujin to warrant the pricetag. That said , I did enjoy the two hours or so I spent on this game.

-Movement and shooting feedback feels good -Very few enemy types -Has a upgrade store to spend in between runs but it the upgrades are generic, even just boring -Power up drops have have RNG in runs leading to big swings in difficulty regardless of personal skill -Those power ups are generic as well and visually uninteresting -Competent but very generic and uncreative SHUMP tittle that I cant recommend with all the competition on Steam -100% achievements in under 1.5 hours
