VRosty is a paid VR puppet platforming game. It worked on my Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Was cute and fun for a while. Maybe buy, if you like platforming games in VR. [h2]Don't let this melt away❕[/h2] This game is creative, charming, casual, clever, and yes, cool. It does get harder as you go, and does get close to frustrating in a few spots, but not for too long. It's not perfect, and I did have to take a break due to looking at the floor too much. But overall, it's a good game and DEFINITELY worth the $12 USD asking price. Got this game real cheap on sale, no complaints. It has an innovative control scheme, feels like controlling a marionette puppet or something. It's a simple platformer with progressively more challenging, but short levels. Good variety so far.

NOTE: REVIEW MODIFIED AFTER HOURS OF PLAY. I finished the game, both bad & good ending. It's a platform game with simple but well-made graphics, and a somewhat neutral but likeable protagonist. The control system is particular: to have semi-direct control of the protagonist you have to constantly hold down a button that hooks him to your hand, and to jump you have to move your hand upwards. This system doesn't work perfectly, it's often a source of frustration and appears to be an unnecessary complication, plus the game totally lacks a tutorial. Because of this, what could have been a very enjoyable platform game turns out to be an enjoyable but cumbersome game. If you can get used to the control system, you will appreciate it. My opinion, despite the criticisms, is POSITIVE. A note of merit goes to the ecological message that pervades the game.

Disclaimer: I've received this game for free via Curator Connect. VRosty is a casual VR platformer/puzzle with unique puppeteering controls. It is fun to play, but quite short, took me ~90 minutes to unlock the good ending. Controlling the snowman like a puppet feels responsive and satisfying, even shooting in third person is surprisingly good. The game provides plenty of varied challenges to test the limits of this intuitive control scheme, never getting old with its simple premise. Visuals look way better in VR than on screenshots: feeling of scale and height of the giant later levels is only achievable in this medium. Although some objects and terrain definitely could have used better textures and more polygons on the highest graphical settings. Works on Reverb G2
