I absolutely love this video. I still feel the same way I felt the first day I watched it. I wish I could get the high resolution version, but going to the site recommended does not work. Either way; the experience is gorgeous and I am always thrilled to be reminded where we come from. Breathtaking!
I wish there was more content like this. Sit and relax as you are entertained and educated, as you take a trip back in time to the start of the universe.
informative
Its a nice 3D short movie. I like the animations, but the movie itself is short and rather superficial. Spoiler alert: The big bang didn't exploded in a small point (as the movie claims), but expanded from a very hot, dense state, whose size we can only guess. It looks like it is ment for children, but I do not believe children can grasp the meaning of molecules, protons etc from that short description (adults probably neither). Anyway, I recomend it, it looks realy nice, just not sure if it is worth the money.
This was a pretty nice experience. It's 25 minutes long, so about the same as a TV show. It's an educational cartoon. As an adult, I didn't really learn anything new, but the presentation was quite enjoyable. I'd recommend it.
Works 'perfectly' in ALVR (Free and Open Source?) and RiftCat on a Samsung Galaxy S8 in the device's native resolution, just make sure you're the same 5G Wi-Fi network as the PC (or USB if you don't mind the cable, but I'd recommend Wi-Fi for the freedom) while standing / sitting close to the router. If a little jumpy then just stop the film, restart RiftCat, possibly restart the phone, reconnect the phone to ALVR and RiftCat and play again. You'll need the ALVR app from within Oculus and the RiftCat app respectively. The phone does get _really_ hot so make sure it's fully charged and / or plug it into power / battery pack. The film is just under 30 minutes long, so it'd be connecting 3 times if you're on the RiftCat logged in demo, or you can pay for the full version then relax and enjoy. Standing is fine, but you may want to sit on a spinny chair. ALVR doesn't have time restrictions. Great film and voice acting in multiple languages - children love it and is very educational, we first saw this in the NSC in the UK and paid (multiple times) to see it in the dome screen.
