About Weekend Warriors MMA
Before it built an empire, the engine behind 3D wrestling brought the revolution to MMA - where real combat challenges you to survive each round! In this game of human chess, a unique control system only lets you have your own way half the time against uncooperative opponents. Feel the resistance in animations that follow your movement in any direction, and then pound the right buttons to strike or transition at any moment. For the first time ever, the original touch-screen concept has been adapted for controllers to allow precise 360 input. Be sure to play through the fully interactive "Training" process to learn how to fight!
Then embark on a career to climb the ranks at 5 unique promotions with their own weight classes, or become the boss in the sport's 1st fully playable "Promoter" mode. Either way, a whole calendar of fights unfolds before you - including the opportunity to arrange your own to draw in the crowds! Make the right moves backstage as well as in the cage to rise to the top of the sport before it defeats you.
Just when you think you've seen it all, you can edit every fighter at every promotion to make the world your own! The game's files are even exposed for modders who enjoy replacing the textures and other media.
* Please note that this game was made before I trained MMA in real life, so it's not exactly the most realistic take on the sport - but there's still plenty of fun to be had by blurring the lines between fighting and wrestling! The innovations in this project were the connective tissue between Wrestling Revolution and Wrestling Empire, and the old veteran now gets to fight on in a different weight class.

Awesome game, all mdickie games are goated2 found this helpful
This isn't as in-depth as Wrestling Empire, but the fight style is fun and I like how different brands have different styles of fighting (e.g. cage fight, ring fight, wrestling match) and all the different stipulations you can have on matches. always a good laugh having a hair vs hair match when both people are bald Also hilarious as always from Mdickie. Imagine going for a title fight, the guy you're going to fight comes up to you and asks if you want someone to take him out before the fight. You slide him some cash, he injures himself before the fight and loses his title in one head kick. Protip: turn the game speed up to 180% in options, it makes the game run smoother/at a better FPS somehow.1 found this helpful
Weekend Warriors MMA by MDickie is a curious blend of ambition and rough execution, offering a take on mixed martial arts that feels less like a polished sports simulation and more like an unpredictable sandbox of controlled chaos. True to the developer’s style, the game leans heavily into systems-driven gameplay rather than presentation, delivering an experience that can be both surprisingly deep and undeniably clunky. It doesn’t try to compete directly with high-budget MMA titles; instead, it carves out its own identity by focusing on freedom, scale, and emergent moments. The game’s career mode is where most players will spend their time, and it does a commendable job of capturing the grind of an MMA fighter’s journey. Starting from the lower ranks, you work your way up through various promotions, dealing with contracts, injuries, rivalries, and the constant pressure to perform. What makes this mode engaging is how it extends beyond just fighting—there’s a sense that you’re part of a living ecosystem. Fighters move between promotions, champions rise and fall, and your decisions outside the cage can influence your trajectory just as much as your performance inside it. this ♥♥♥♥ is ass
Fun game to sim a MMA promotion
interesting game with a potentially fun career mode muddied by how insanely long the "weekly news" takes to scroll. It can actually take up to 2 minutes in some cases outlasting the gameplay. Other than that the gameplay is very fun outside of grappling being a little ridiculous to overcome
