I've played this game on every platform and have personally enjoyed it from day one. Really wish the big balancing patch came sooner than it did around launch. Highly advise to get the ultimate edition on sale, it's solid for the usual $20. Without a sale, it's still cheaper to buy this game complete than a certain other title in 2026. It's an alternative. I'm a fan of fighting games. It's more of a fighting game than what's considered a traditional "wrestling game". Controls are VERY easy to grasp, I play the minigames with my siblings all the time. Mario party vibes. The features pushed the competition to change. Now we see intergender matches, thumbtacks, and interactive weapon/object physics. As well as entrance controls for emotes and pyro in other places. It definitely is lacking match types that you're used to. The creation is not as deep as other titles. The single player side is not a fully fleshed out experience. The critiques and complaints are true. However, it's been my favorite wrestling adjacent game in the last decade. As far as "in match" goes, there's no comparison for what it delivers. Hell, the battle royal mode was even fun for a little while.

There is no tutorial for controls except a very few pop ups in our first match. The controls also suck. Matches are pretty boring, only lasting 3-4 minutes. Tag team matches just suck the ringside partner just keeps breaking pinfall (unless you knock him out first) without any limitations. Handicap matches are unplayable. Initially I thought story was looking good in Road to Elite (Season) Mode but that too just turned out not too be that interesting. There's just a lot of problem with the battle system as well but I still liked the concept of workouts, injuries, motivation system included in the game so I am still going to play it for a bit longer and would still recommend to buy this on butt cheap discount as you will still be able to get some value out of this game at its lowest discount prices. (Bonus: The roaster also felt pretty small to me but it's still playable and a good distraction from those repeating WWE 2k games).

Worth the 20 euro.

Overall a general disappointment. Great that they went with arcade style but the game play lacks a strong loop that you won't get annoyed at repeating. Feels like WCW PS1 games. Fun with friends but single player you just don't care.
