About Wetory

\
Join the adventure of a discarded child who, after all the colors of the world are stolen by a villain, realizes the power of the paint coming from their feet to defeat the antagonist. Embark on a journey to retrieve the stolen colors from the villain!
"Wetory" is a 3D roguelike game based on a tilemap system. It offers an experience with desaturated backgrounds that reflect the world devoid of colors, contrasted with vibrant monster designs and effects, reminiscent of a fireworks display in the night sky.\
Wetory must be played strategically as the player cannot utilize direct attacks, but must, instead, employ tactics of tile interaction and avoidance. The gameplay provides a unique experience unlike any other.
\
As the player progresses through the game, taking back lost colors, each color unlocks new capabilities with unique attack characteristics. Depending the player's progression in the game, the colors and skill tree can be freely changed to create a variety of game styles for each instance of the game.

The art style is beautiful and the soundtrack is gorgeous. That being said... The gameplay should be a simple roguelike, but it's not really fun to play. The first glaring issue is you cant really control where your attacks go very well. you dribble paint on the ground as you move and thats where your attacks spawn from. some attacks fly towards you, some stay there. but due to the unruliness of this, actually trying to fight and evade as the same time is tedious as best. Not to mention you're constantly getting caught on geometry. But even if you could get past that, there are bugs that are impossible to overlook. This game is unstable af. The paid version somehow has more bugs than the demo. Picking up items locked me out of dashing and every time i pressed the pickup button, it would give me a copy of the item. You have a limited number of item slots, so this will also stop you from getting other items if you abuse it. But the lack of a dash is the real killer in this. it also sometimes just reassigned buttons as a glitch, like the dash buttons activating an invisible select menu. I really wanted to trust in the pedigree of gravity because ive followed their works for a long,…12 found this helpful
" A Unique Painting Experience with Colorful Gameplay and Outstanding Audio" Wetory is a one-of-a-kind game that brings a fresh and creative approach to the world of gaming. This innovative title sets itself apart by offering players a truly unique gameplay experience. In Wetory, the main concept revolves around colors and creativity as players are tasked with coloring their environment in an extraordinary way. One of the standout features of Wetory is its gameplay mechanic, which involves producing paint directly from your character's feet. Yes, you read that right! Instead of traditional brushes or tools, you'll be using your character's feet to create colorful artwork. This approach adds an element of whimsy and fun to the game that's unlike anything you've seen before. Whether you're painting landscapes, characters, or even abstract designs, the game's mechanics make the process highly enjoyable and engaging. Another aspect that makes Wetory a standout title is its exceptional background music (BGM) and sound effects. The game's soundtrack is not just an afterthought; it's a crucial part of the overall experience. The BGM sets the mood perfectly for each level, enhancing imm…8 found this helpful
This cute little game does a good job of making a rogue like that seems to be a mix of spatoon and binding of Isaac. Pros: - Well priced - You can respec your abilities on a whim which is great for allow you to explore different play styles. - The art style is AMAZING Cons: - The buy system is kinda eh that it doesn't really feel worth it - There is a lot of mechanics not explained well when you first get there - The story portion could use a little more Voice acting, or Pictures, or something. It's good it just feels it's missing a lil something. I think it's a good game and the style and gameplay were lovely. I give it 5/7 missing colours.7 found this helpful
I think this game is stylish and has some fun gameplay mechanics but the achievements are completely broken so I cannot recommend until they get fixed </32 found this helpful
I liked this! I like the paint concept and I think the boss and enemy designs were all pretty cute. Boss mechanics were also fun to play against. It's not particularly hard, especially on the base difficulty setting that you're forced to play on for your first attempt, but you can play the harder difficulty after a clear for an extra challenge. Although I will say achievements don't seem to activate for me? I finished the game twice for both endings and got nothing for it, which is a bummer, but the game is still fun.1 found this helpful
Wetory, developed by PepperStones and published by GRAVITY, is a 3D action roguelike that distinguishes itself through an imaginative color-based combat system and a visually expressive world. Rather than focusing on traditional hack-and-slash mechanics, the game builds its identity around movement, spatial awareness, and reclaiming color in a world that has been stripped of vibrancy. Its premise is deceptively simple: a child protagonist must recover stolen colors from a corrupted world, but the execution transforms that concept into a surprisingly tactical and emotionally resonant experience. At the heart of Wetory lies its tile-based combat design. Instead of allowing freeform button-mashing, the game emphasizes calculated movement across a grid-like battlefield. Each step matters, and positioning becomes as critical as timing. The protagonist does not rely on conventional melee attacks; instead, color powers tied to reclaimed hues grant unique abilities that influence both offense and mobility. This creates encounters that feel more like dynamic puzzles than straightforward battles, rewarding players who think ahead and adapt to enemy patterns. Color mechanics are central to …
