Chicory: A Colorful Tale

People pick up this game for the mechanics and art style. Indeed, they are incredibly well done. The abilities you get with your brush feel intuitive and playful. I really enjoy the progressive discovery of new areas you can unlock and explore multiple times. DRAWING with the brush can feel perhaps overly blobby and oversaturated, but I like that it constrains you to the character - who is NOT initially an artist, and forces you to color your world in unconventional ways. There are a TON of great adjustment settings on this game. You can eliminate wet sounds, you can teleport to a home base if your character gets stuck, you can alleviate some eye strain. I highly recommend checking out your settings when you get started. :) This game is full of craftsmanship all the way down to its core story. One of my favorite game features is being able to interact with NPCs for creative and in-depth dialogue. There are SO many characters in the game, but by the end (if you've been speaking with them every chance you get) you see character development, new friendships, and so much more. A good coloring book.

This game me cry. It made me cry and I would play it again for the experience. The studio once again handles topics of emotions and feeling of inadequacy so beautifully. You relate with the characters and go along with them in their journey to break out of their own head. Going through the game slowly unlocking colors and going back to spread them to old places is just such a lovely time. Please play it i also need you to cry with me

This game is truly, and in no uncertain terms, a [b] masterpiece [/b]. From its OST, its characters, the story and the writing, the game mechanics and the boss fights, the themes and the way they're conveyed. It really is a wonderful experience I highly recommend.

Scuffed drawings will never not be funny

An amazing, cute game with a wonderful artstyle and equally wonderful story. The story isn't too long, but this game can take you hours, just based off the fact that you can paint everything and that is so much fun.
