Wheel of Innocence

As usual, I played a Steam game and, seeing I could write a review for it, decided to make my way there. I walked while thinking about nothing at all, a important pondering for me to share. Eventually, I finally arrive, and find Ridaru standing their. It was strange, as if butterflies is in my shoe. I tried to to tell them about the game, T-Th... T-th... But couldn't, I stammered. Suddenly, to the sound of the same song that had been playing while I walked here, I felt a hand on my shoulder. They told me it's ok, I can tell them later. For a change of pace, they brought up a game they were playing. Coincidentally, it was the one I had been. Afterwards, curious about what I had meaning to say, I told them it was to speak of this, and they said I completed my objective. I felt so ashamed... How can I be so pitiful? After Ridaru helped me, we mark a day to do some racing in their game that they owned, Jaded Rim. It have a lot of explosive mine which are fun to dodge. I can't wait! This is really good. Far more than I expected from a free game. The story is of a good length, it deals with some serious themes, but they are approached with sensitivity and realism. And yeah, the relationship between the characters is cute. Get it.

It takes 40–60 minutes to finish the game without skipping anything. It's a game with a sweet yuri story.

Well, that was cute.

Really sweet and very clearly coming from a personal place that the author has experience with but god. This script (I can't Tell if it's a translation issue or just the general script) is bad. The actual sequence of events and the things that go on in the story I actually like a lot but there's absolutely no effort into making it all interesting to read; no attempt at engaging prose or natural dialogue. It's just all so robotic and unpolished, lacking personality or even basic grammar as this VN often forgets what a comma is. Really unfortunate cause this premise could've been used to make something truly special but there's just something inherently first draft to the way this thing is written, which makes enough sense cause this was a 2 month game jam title but even then I've read stuff developed in similarly tight schedules that accomplishes a lot more. Still though I liked it, enjoyed the characters and the romance was cute and I appreciated it's clash with more serious topics like suicidal thoughts and guilt but more than anything I'm left hoping this gets a remake in the future.
