Where Are My Mittens is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. This 2D retro pixel platformer (ugh) has a charming theme about finding a lost cat, but it's really very poorly made, which undoubtedly lead to the games dismal failure. One other minor note that the developer also couldn't work out how to do control customisation, and that's also a problem, but given how bad the rest of the game is, does it matter? Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. Ah yes. I was looking for a game with wack air movement, no story, walls you can slam into at any speed and just... stick to them, no fall damage for no reason, no proper end, and 7 minutes of gameplay. No, I have no idea where the other 14 minutes of playtime came from. 10/10, would play again.

good fun for the ten minuets it takes to beat, not overly challenging or punishing with a cute little artsyle, couldve used some background music though

Good short platformer :-)

Almost recommended. There is some potential in this short prototype. The graphics are basic, physics need some more work, controls are floaty and the ending seemed like it needed to trigger credits or something. If you love all things platformer, then give it a try, otherwise you won't miss much if you skip.
