About Wild Ice
The Great Frost changed everything.Every day it gets colder. Those who freeze return as frost zombies drawn to the last pockets of warmth. In the small town of Coldwater, a scattered network of experimental furnaces built to warm people through the worst winters is now the last hope of surviving. But turning them on calls to the frost and what lurks within.Play solo or couch co-op as small town hockey players Max and Finley, as you activate furnaces across the world and hold the line against waves of frost zombies using a combination of slap shots, trap building and fisticuffs to both bring (and bring back) the heat!
EXPLORE A FROZEN OPEN WORLD
Travel across a frozen landscape in search of furnaces. Discover new areas, stay warm, find items, character mods, new gear, hidden crows (caw caw) and take on optional side quests from other survivors.HOCKEY FUELED ACTION TOWER DEFENSE
Build and upgrade hockey-inspired traps, fortify choke points, and funnel enemies as you protect the heat, and survive escalating waves of frost zombies. There will be no sitting on the bench once the horde is unleashed, you're as much a part of the play as your traps. Use slapshots, slashing and body checks to take down any frost zombies that slip past your defenses.SURVIVE TOGETHER - PLAY SOLO OR SPLITSCREEN CO-OP
Play solo and choose between two characters, Max (the scavenger) and Finley (the tank) with different perks and play styles, or play together for double the chaos, double the fun!OTHER FEATURES

The hockey tower defense game I didn't know I needed! After just finishing the game I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Wild Ice, I've been itching for any kind of hockey game on PC and I can honestly say that I've spent time just skating around with the music off to appreciate the crispness of the sounds. This would be my first tower defense game but it was solid and doable on single player.1 found this helpful
Super fun game, reminds me of a PS2 game with HD support. Really creative idea in a sea of copied ideas. Would really love online multiplayer and in game item storage. Hopefully the game continues to be updated1 found this helpful
What a bizarre little find in my games calendar. I'm neither a fan of hockey nor of ice scating and yet when I read the review that said this game is canadian orcs must die I decided to give it a shot. Let me get the one bad thing about this game out of the way, which is the bug that sometimes just stops the game from continueing after you cleared a wave. This bug is the only reason I haven't finished the story yet, everything else is pretty awesome. What I can tell you is that this game is a little more than just OMD on ice because even though you only get a hand full of traps the "levels" are all places in a mid-sized open world. This means you can use your traps outside of arenas to fight enemies in the overworld or to build platforms and the exploration is a much appreciated pace breaker between franticly shooting pucks at the frosties. Body checking them into each other and over the edge of cliffs is about as much fun as dropkicking zombies in dying light btw. Wild Ice showed me something I didn't know I wanted which I now crave more of which is a third person action adventure that's also a tower defense game with loot and quests and... that's quite a word salad but here …
Just started playing and already know this is gonna be one of my favs! I LOVE HOCKEY AND TOWER DEFENCE. Its perfectly paced and feels good when you unlock a new trap to defeat the ice zombies with. I love bodychecking the snowballs and punching them with my fists. The only problem ive had is there might be a bug where the health bar of some zombies stays up for a little too long after you kill them, which confused me.
This is a really fun take on a number of different genres. at its core it a solid tower defence game. Great trap variety, great enemies, interesting environments. But its also a fun take on the survival zombie franchise. Snow zombies? never seen that before. hockey team combatting zombies with their puck handling skills? wild. very ambitious and unique. This game is great, has a number of excellent systems that all work well together. The story is a fresh take on the genre and I really hope this game finds its audience. its lovely!
Having a great time with Wild Ice! The game loop of exploring a new area, searching for loot and resorces, before defending it from horde of frozen undead, is engaging. The voice acting is great and one shoting a baddie with a slap shot to the head is super satifying.
