Wildcat Gun Machine is a lively twin-stick shooter that throws players into a bizarre world of demonic creatures, enormous machines, dangerous dungeons, and an almost comical amount of firepower. Developed by Chunkybox Games and published by Daedalic Entertainment, the game focuses heavily on fast movement, precise shooting, enemy pattern recognition, and surviving increasingly crowded encounters. Rather than building its identity around an elaborate narrative, it concentrates on immediate arcade-style action. The premise is deliberately strange, involving the liberation of giant mech robots from demonic elder gods while battling hordes of grotesque flesh creatures. Combined with occasional kittens and colorful cartoon imagery, this creates a tone that manages to be gruesome and playful at the same time. Combat is unquestionably the centerpiece of the experience. Wildcat Gun Machine uses familiar twin-stick controls, allowing movement and aiming to operate independently. Oh god this game is bad. They tried to rip off gungeon but just copy and pasted content over 3 acts. Most of the enemies and bosses are samey. A roguelite amateur can probably beat this in a single run. And god help you if you need to do a re-run because this game is boooring for a twin stick, fast paced game. There are lots of quirks that will lead to unnecessary damage ticks, like getting stuck on doorways. Oh yeah, and no invincibility window on hit, yet you can easily get multi hit to death in a nanosecond. You can cheese the respawns by backtracking. Oy, cannot wait to uninstall. 3 gaming sessions and done with this POS.
