Wish Me Well

I really wanted to enjoy this game. The idea is great, the builds look amazing. However, as a new player, the early game progression is abysmal. It’s just down to endless grinding until you get lucky enough with your build to beat the first boss then repeat. I can’t even try different builds because there are times where I don’t even get a spell in multiple rooms, in a row. And added to that I get all triggers, or no triggers, or no new spells. It really sucks to want to experience the game but the game itself won’t let you.

Initially the game is quite hard, but once you understand the mechanics, learn some patterns and use the dodge properly... its really fun and the challenge becomes quite enjoyable. I really look foward to the release of more gun modifiers and extending the run length, I only feel like a build is just coming together and then the 3rd boss appears and the run is over. Bring on the next release!

I'm sorry, but right now this game is just annoying. It's a cheap copy of Magicraft, and it's extremely tedious to make progress in the game. You don't get any useful spells or passive skills. The game punishes you way too harshly, health points drop extremely rarely, and you end up with a bunch of useless spells and spell modifiers. The only goal is always to collect money in the hope of buying useful items in the shop. That’s it. I don’t feel like grinding for 40 hours just to finally unlock a few useful features in the game.

I bought the game after friend's recommendation and had a lot of fun. I'm not good in such games, however, it brought me some memories from 30 years ago while playing Diablo :) And the main character in the hat - is it inspired by that small creature from He-man?

The little “hat paradox” — hat on the library floor when you teleport, but back on your head in the dungeon — really puts a smile on my face. The wizard’s hub tucked between the bookshelves is a great touch. 🎮 The Vibe: Think Magicraft or The Binding of Isaac, but much lighter. Perfect if you just want to unwind and relax after a long day. 🛠️ Minor QoL Feedback (Just personal nitpicks that don't impact the fun!): • Keybinds: Custom rebinding (like swapping WASD to arrows) would be a nice bonus, though the default layout is honestly perfectly fine. • Progression: It'd be awesome if the character's look evolved to match their growing power. • Menus: A “Return to Main Menu” button under ESC is just a preference, but it would make sense if the devs ever add multiple player profiles (e.g., three save slots) in the future. Verdict: A super cozy and relaxing roguelite. Highly recommend!

Ehh... apparently there was some new update that gimped the early game a lot. As a new player, I'm feeling it. Progression feels slow. Having 'beaten' the game once, I don't feel a drive to continue because why would I when it doesn't give any indication that anything will change and get more interesting?
