World Destroyers is a fast-paced, skill-testing, multiplayer space shooter that pays homage to classic games such as Asteroids, but with modern high-speed action.
Up to four players can team up to save Earth in Story mode, or see how far they can get in the endless Horde and Retro modes. And of course, bring out the trash talk in fully customizable Battle mode.
When an unusually large cluster of asteroids heads towards Earth, command sends a small fleet of spacecraft to shoot them down. It quickly becomes clear that not all is as it seems. An alien species with sinister intentions threatens to destroy our solar system.
It’s up to you to defend Earth from the dreaded World Destroyers. Huge alien space stations that harvest planets for their resources, leaving destruction in their wake. The aliens have superior weaponry, but perhaps mankind’s remarkable ingenuity can stop their plans.

World Destroyers is a fast arcade space shooter that takes the basic Asteroids idea and turns it into something much more chaotic. I am flying around open space, shooting asteroids, enemy ships and huge alien stations while trying to survive increasingly difficult waves. The story has me defending Earth from an alien race that travels around destroying planets for their resources, but the story is mostly there to give the shooting a reason to happen. What I actually enjoy is how quickly the game gets me into the action and how much stuff can be happening around me at once. The campaign is bigger than I expected from such a simple looking game. There are 40 story levels, bonus minigames and five difficulty settings, so I can choose whether I want something fairly relaxed or a much harder challenge. The levels use a wraparound design where going off one side of the screen brings me back from the other side, which adds a little more to the movement than simply staying inside a fixed arena. I have to think about where enemies are coming from and can use the edges of the map to reposition myself when things get crowded. I also like the amount of weapons and abilities available. There …
Игра "World Destroyers" оказалась неожиданно захватывающей! Сначала я скептически отнесся к пиксельной графике, но довольно быстро втянулся в геймплей. Стратегическое планирование развития базы, найм уникальных героев и тактические сражения – вот что делает игру по-настоящему интересной. Отдельно стоит отметить разнообразие контента. Здесь есть множество фракций с разными юнитами и способностями, что позволяет пробовать разные стили игры. Развитие героя и прокачка базы тоже реализованы на высоте. Никогда не знаешь, что новое откроешь, поэтому всегда есть к чему стремиться. Конечно, в игре не обошлось без шероховатостей. Иногда баланс юнитов кажется немного хромающим, и приходится долго гриндить ресурсы. Но в целом, эти недостатки не портят общего впечатления. "World Destroyers" – это отличная игра для тех, кто любит стратегические баталии с элементами RPG. Я провел в ней уже десятки часов и не собираюсь останавливаться! Рекомендую всем любителям жанра.
