This is a pretty massive game with many twists and turns. You get many party members to choose from. It is hard to pick your main 4 party characters. There are two things to keep in mind during gameplay. First, when you are in Oni's town the second time in late game, do NOT exit the town to the north or you suffer a game ending glitch. I had to go back 30 hours to my last save. I am not good at multiple slot saving, so totally my fault. Second, if you are a completionist and you want to craft all item, be sure to keep at least one honey. It is required for late game crafting and the material is not available anywhere, you get it early on.

Forget about it being a rpg maker game. It is a classic JRPG from the snes era with tons of options.. I will buy more game from this creator.

I really liked it, it has good story and old school rpg gameplay.

This is the prequel to Ashes of the Night and the second game by Wolf Moons Studio. It’s a nice step up from the first game, and features many of the same characters. The turn-based battle system is pretty much the same, but some of the other aspects have improved in small but appreciated ways. You can see these games are ramping up and I’m stoked to play the later games in the series. One addition is a crafting system. It’s a nice idea but needs a little polish; the actual mining/fishing, etc. is a little slow, and overall it’s not super important to the rest of the game. I’m not personally much into crafting but it was pretty fun and I did spend a bit of time on it. I’m curious if it’s in more games and if it gets refined as well. It still has some of the same issues as its predecessor such as really long dungeons (that you can’t dash in), pacing, and no map of any kind. The menu is a little frustrating because all your items besides weapons and armor are on one tab, and with the crafting that page gets really really long. There are no filtering or sorting options available, so sometimes it’s hard to even find what you’re looking for. I played this game entirely on Steam D…

Lots of characters, interesting plot. Classic RPG. Just finished the game at 37 hours and will probably play it again as I feel I missed some subtle points! Great fun and interesting ending.

A great adventure I'll say, def worth the money to get lost and grind away at times during each of the games areas. The characters you obtain thru the adventure are unique in skills and the banter in the group when it happens its pretty funny. I liked the idea of certain areas you can skip monsters if you choose too, also implementing random encounters to give you that grinding feel to power up your characters if you feel the need to. Its not a complicated game for progression and even in difficulty as long as you pay attention to your characters skills and what stats improve them. 2 thumbs for the developer. Can't wait to see what other games he created!
