For some unknown reason I allowed this game to sit in my library way too long ---- but am very glad I rediscovered it, played it, loved it, and can tell you this is another fantastic game from Wolfs Moon Studios. It is a classic old school rpg that features lots of variety entwined with a good story and is very, very addictive. No fan of this type game should pass up the opportunity to play this game, and I still can't believe I just unintentionally skipped over it and therefore ran late to the party ---- so I can tell you this one gets my highest recommendation.1 found this helpful
If you liked the old school Final Fantasy games this will be right up your alley. It does the classic play loop well - explore, fight monsters, rest, upgrade. Unlike many games in this genre the combat and resource management require some thought.1 found this helpful
Just beat the game. It was like playing a game from the past in all the ways. You have party members to choose and level/gear up. I would say this game emphasized strategy and tactics over story, There was a small story but it never got in the way. Honestly it was a blast to play through. If you are into old RPGs, I would recommend picking this one up1 found this helpful
Another Wolfs Moon Studios game in the book and onto the next! the 8 bit format is interesting, and it can be beautiful. I didn't really love the constant hordes, but made it through them. The dungeons were easily navigated, much appreciated Shane. I was constantly in my menu after each battle to restore and cure party members, but expected with hordes I guess. All in all, I would play this game.1 found this helpful
Good game all around. Apart from the music, that will make your ears bleed. Relatively easy, albeit harder than many similar games with a single difficulty setting. Last boss can be an issue, if you are not familiar with the dev's other games. Essentially you need to be able withstand his one attack attack, or you will have to go out and get sturdy enough. Beating the rest of the game is not really indicative to your sturdiness. I knew better, yet I still invested a ridiculous amount of money in increasing Dexterity instead of Health, just so I would be able to run away from encounters. I regret nothing. Surviving with 1hp still counts and that is all you need. It has a somewhat open world, but there is still a linear path you are expected to follow. If you are having serious trouble with an area, you just shouldn't be there. If you struggle, but it's doable, you shouldn't be wasting your time there. This is a chill game you should be playing while listening to music or watching a movie.1 found this helpful
another awesome game from wolfs moon studios. I love the old school style of the game. You get plenty of items in drops which is always a plus, its just the right difficulty, not too easy and not frustratingly hard. The story line is good and is definitely a game you will sit down to play and hours will go by before you realize it. This developer always puts his heart and soul in all his games, this one does not disappoint. It is a nice escape to sit down and play a game that reminds you of games you played years ago.1 found this helpful
