About Zly.ii: The Hacked Station
Storyline
"You are an astronaut from planet Terra who has been invited to the Table of the TSP - Terran Space Pirates, because one of the members, also your friend, is missing. Your mission is to go to the Catyph planetary system to use the Kunci, a kind of stargate, which will teleport you to the last presumed location of your friend. She was looking for a rare Black Cube, an alien artefact with various powers. After using the kunci, you realize that you have to explore an old Anterran space station, but you are stuck there with no way to go back. In addition you can't find your friend, and you feel that a hostile presence is looking at every of your actions in this dark place..."
About
Zly.ii was made in Unity with 360° panoramic views (prerendered backgrounds and video cutscenes). It uses the traditional art style of the Black Cube series, quite simple with a nice retro touch. The logical puzzles are in the continuation of the Black Cube classics, requiring to explore, observe, understand and take notes on paper to make connections. The gameplay mainly uses the mouse ; keyboard is sometimes necessary to input passwords/commands, or to display the menu (echap).
Zly.ii can be played without knowing the previous episodes, the necessary story elements being brought through the narration (of course knowing the other episodes will enrich your experience). There's no recommendation as to which game to play first in the Black Cube series, and Zly.ii is a good place to start.

What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise this sci-fi puzzle adventure for its engaging and well-balanced challenges, atmospheric environments with nostalgic pre-rendered graphics, and compelling story set in the Black Cube universe. The game is described as an excellent, relatively short introduction to the series (around 2-3 hours) that successfully blends exploration, puzzle-solving, and human-AI interaction in a credible technical setting. No significant complaints are mentioned across the reviews, with players consistently recommending it to fans of classic point-and-click adventures and puzzle games.
This game feels like a perfect introduction to the Black Cube series (and the worldbuilding behind it, if you are interested) for those who don't know the series yet and want to try if it's for them. It's not too long, but provides challenging puzzles in a fascinating atmosphere (including a nice soundtrack). The pre-rendered graphics create a nostalgic mood. It definitely helps to make notes and maybe even a map drawing, although the game also saves some clues to the inventory, so you don't always have to write everything down. Overall, this feels a bit like an escape room in space. Give it a try if you are into scifi games and puzzles and would like to go on an unknown adventure that doesn't eat the rest of your life. :)5 found this helpful
Zly.ii: The Hacked Station - A short but enjoyable scifi puzzle adventure game! If you're looking for a fun scifi puzzle challenge, I definitely recommend this game! It is on the shorter side as it took me about 2hrs 20min to finish on my first playthrough (I first played an older version on Itch.io, my steam playtime is for my replay of the steam version) but it might take you longer depending on how hard you find the puzzles. I personally found the puzzles to be a good balance of challenging without being too cryptic, and they fit well into the world which I always appreciate in adventure games. The environments were also cool to explore, and I love the 360 views that I wish more first person point and click games would have.5 found this helpful
Usually I don't play games set in a science fiction setting. But this one got me curious, since I like classic point & click adventures where you explore a not too vast unknown world. Looking for clues, I really have to think to solve puzzles and find out what happened. I like how I don't have to explore this unknown location completely alone. But can I trust my virtual assistant? I really like such settings where humans interact with artificial intelligences. This game has a technical feeling in a good way, the graphics are not too realistic but not too minimalistic either. The location I'm exploring feels credible and pratical in a way - something I would want to have in space as well, and definitely prefer over a too fancy "designer"-space station. I recommend playing Zly.ii to find out more about the Black Cubes!2 found this helpful

Another excellent addition to The Black Cube universe. If you have played any of the other games then you know exactly what to expect, a masterfully done scifi point and click adventure with lots of challenging puzzles! I'm always impressed with what Simon is able to create and how he continues to expand on the The Black Cube lore with each game taking us on a puzzling journey that is full of beautiful scenes, great atmosphere, music and sound effects. And above all, challenging puzzles that take me back to the days of old when this style of game was in its hay day! Highly recommended!1 found this helpful
