Loved the first one, but this one misses the mark on the boss fights. A lot of the them are just long periods of invincibility, followed by ramming you or flying off screen. That works on regular shmups, but half the weapons dont fire up or even predictably. That means youre just dodging for long periods and hoping your weapons overlap when they can actually take damage. It kills the motivation to start a new run because the challenge is more tedious than difficult.

pretty fun. easy to learn. charming graphics and sound design. lots of little bits of polish here. worth a buy

Dont listen to the bad reviews on this one. This game is like vampire survivors met galaga. It's a bullet hell but the enemies themselves are also a huge part of the dodging aspect. The bosses are random throughout missions,there's a turbo mode, and after you beat the missions, it's an endless mode. You want to do a plasma only run? Bombs only? Fire? Lightning? Drone? Missile? There's so many more. Pilots+differ ship combos make possibilities endless too. The modifiers allow you to play the game to your difficulty rather than easy/medium/hard simply. Great steamdeck game, fun to force builds to work, you can spend the currency to buy pilots/ships on making your run better as well. Not on a good run? Penny pinch and dont spend you currency. On a good run? Make it better buy spending it instead. My only request,maybe Im ignorant. Is there a way to save your modifiers as a preset? If not,I want to request that as a feature! Highly recommend.

I really wanted to like this. The visuals and music are great, but the gameplay is not. There is way too much going on with menus, the tutorial is way too wordy, and the combat is just not satisfying. If this were a big studio I would ask for a refund

Game was fun but i have absolutely 0 clue what's going on, tutorial did basically nothing to explain anything. Refunded

The first one was great, but this one is also worth it! Thank you developer for keep doing games like this but modernized.
