I have had a lot of fun with this game so far. I don't have a problem with the dev giving tips on how to build your run like a lot of the other negative reviews, you can just ignore them if you don't need them. The build diversity is good, and it is the type of game that really encourages exploring every achievement and build option, which I love. On top of that, the core gameplay is very enjoyable and keeps you coming back for more. The minor problems: - Some of the build options are literally just bad. Genuinely unusably awful. There are one or two of these options in each of the many stages you have the option to change something about your run. I get that not everything can be the same strength, and some things will only have niche use cases, but this is a bit excessive. - Stat calculations are often unclear, as well as how effects will interract with each other. Some stats will change based on your nanobot's base stats, some will go off of your weapon, some will go off your current stats, and it is unclear what will do what. I also often find myself resetting a run because I put a certain combination of gadgets, parts and mods in a build that literally just don't do anything…

You like classic flash games? This is the one for you. It's evolved, expanded, a bigger portion of what you've been missing. This game can have a bit of... Attitude at its player, but only with good intentions. It's solid, it's fun. The Daily Challenges force me to realize build concepts I never would have dreamed of. Loads of fun, can't wait for the next update.

The first game feels basic compared to this. First off, Music is a banger. Visuals are great and fun. It remembers me on an old game on windows (95, MS Dos?) that was just about shooting fireworks on your screen and watching the cool colour effects. Theres a ton of combo potential here you can experiment with. Several modes too. What is a bit annoying are the dev warnings about you doing "dumb" stuff, which is sometimes cool but also sometimes too invasive on your choices. 2 examples on that. I had a modification choice in the shop that was for a weapon i did not have. I could "Bleach" it, which would make it colourless so i could still apply it, i didnt yet though. I had to unlock a slot for that mod first, so i clicked to unlock it. The game then warned me that i didnt have anything to move into it and that this was dumb and a waste of my currency. But that didnt matter, because the game didnt know i would bleach the mod in the shop. So the dev thought it was ok to pop up 4 messages that BLOCKED me from unlocking the mod slot outright saying "Stop, what you do is dumb." Like, calm it a bit dude. Another example is that its sometimes more important to progress psychologically…

Game's very fun to play. I get the point of some negative reviews here. The dev gives some guidanace on what may work well or prevents you from making dumb mistakes sometimes (unlocking a "slot" without having anything to go into it right now). If they are reading this, add an option to toggle that sort of thing on/off and display that at the start. Requires writing some alternative text for weapons etc in the game but it'd certainly help the people familiar with the genre/adress these complaints.

I don't like the tutorial forcing me to do things, let me play the game at my own pace, I'll discover it when I get there
