Extremely unbalanced

This is a rogue-lite game that has great strategic turn-based combat. There are a variety of builds and each creature has it's own set of unique cards and abilities. The design and balance of the creatures are really well done. One thing that I think has to be added is the ability to bind the right mouse button to "Cancel". This lets PC players exit menus by right clicking. This might seem like a small detail but many other games allow you to do this and it makes a huge difference in the QoL for navigating menus when using a mouse to play.

I haven’t gotten this immediately hooked in a long time. For gameplay this game is amazing. Unlike many deckbuilders you get to have a team, and each member gets a unique card pool with only a small number of shared cards. In addition, the tactical battle options are an extremely satisfying puzzle. As far as the art and setting, I think it is less exciting but still really great. The monsters are all very thematic to the world and a lot of the attacks have unique animations, which is going the extra mile compared to some other Deckbuilding games. Soundtrack is something I am usually not very attentive to, but the usual theme is very catchy although I don’t think there is a huge variety. If there is many different songs, than the main theme is one heck of an earwig. Overall a fantastic game and my only complaint is that there isn’t more. More trainers, more monsters, everything.

Great game

Wow this game scratched an itch for a good while. Solid 40 hours of gameplay with two characters but I felt overwhelmed by the learning curve for the third character choice (Chef) and I just couldn't bring myself to deal with the frustration of keeping up with the constant rotating seasonings that he manages. Each character definitely has Montabi they are best synchronized with and I like the medal system tracking which ones you have complete the game with ads a nice touch of challenge for replay-ability. Sometimes you just get a god-tier RNG on cards for your Montabi and the equipment you pick up just boosts them through the stratosphere and you can nuke bosses in 1-2 turns. A solid recommend to hold you over while you wait for your next big purchase to go on sale. I love the time I spent in Montabi and now I'm on to my next card-battler hope you all enjoy!!
