Love the series but this release is a huge disappointment. I'm shocked by the amount of bugs in single player & multiplayer modes: Combat items suddenly stop working and require a hard restart, the rhythm game simply doesn't respond to controller inputs, it's easy to get trapped behind stage elements, achievements pop (and don't pop) when they should. Local computer names were used for global leaderboards rather than Steam usernames. Yikes. What a nightmare! Oh, and not even menus in the original SNES version were translated into English. Overall, this release simply feels half-baked. They clearly did not playtest it properly and the lack of love really shines through.

A mate begged me to get this so we could play together. I was a bit skeptical at first looking at the art style, but after a couple of rounds, I was totally sold! The poop tag mode had us completely in stitches, and the 8-player free-for-all is brilliantly chaotic and stress-relieving. You can do local split-screen too, though it’s a shame it caps out at 4 players. For solo play, there’s a story mode and a surprisingly catchy rhythm minigame. The graphics look a bit basic on the surface, but there’s loads to do. Cheers to my mate for the recommendation—absolute legend.

Racing on foot while dodging obstacles and throwing items makes for some funny battles with friends. The different modes keep things interesting, though sharp turns take practice. Cute, silly, and a good pick for a relaxed game night.

The cute characters and chaotic item battles make this a fun racer to enjoy with friends. There’s a nice variety of modes, and learning to handle corners adds some challenge. A controller feels like the better choice, especially when races get hectic.

Plus, there are multiple game modes to try, so the gameplay is pretty strong. You can also play with friends, which makes it really fun, and the characters are nicely done and super cute

It really takes me back to playing the original Hashire HEBEREKE with my buddies back in the day. The remake's been a blast so far — there's a bunch of modes to choose from, and the fact that they added online multiplayer is a huge plus. Definitely gotta get the old crew together for a nostalgia session!
