Celestia (2026)

Celestia as a software is really nice and has stood the test of time for well over two decades. It is still being maintained and I think that is amazing Its greatest strength is surely the fact that it is very easy to modify. I highly recommend checking out the Celestia Origin project, as it pushes this software to its limits, expanding it and modernizing it in ways I would have never thought possible. However, I sadly have to give this a negative review because the developer is delisting the software from steam, meaning it will become unusable in the near future. Get Celestia for free either as the mobile app, Windows app or from the official Celestia website. so gooooood to have celestia with a workshop and the guy from mobile looks like he is uploading all the addons? so easy... just press a button and have the addon i think it deserve to pay what it cost even if its free out steam

It's nice to see this finally come to steam There's only the windows version, but it runs normally through proton EDIT 2026-08-24: I'm not active in the community, so I barely know what's happening, however every piece of info I hear is more baffling than the last. Simply disgraceful.

I love space games, like KSP, SFS and especially Celestia. It's kinda cheap, which I don't think should be for this epic of a game. And I'd like to see how stars distant from Earth would look like. With Celestia, you can do just that and a bunch of other stuff. My Overall Rating: 10/10
