In short, you don't own this game, and they're collecting a lot of your data. Spend your money somewhere else. BioEden may be a perfectly fine game but after analyzing the EULA this is a 'lisence' not a copy. So displte you the user paying a purchasing price, they can revoke at anytime, thus you don't actually -own- this game. Let's be clear, I understand that buying a copy of the game does not mean you own Intellectual property of the game, what I expect is if I buy a game I want to own that copy of the game that I paid for. If this continues this needs more strict wording to say 'you are RENTING" this game and you should then allow the user to cancel when they're done with the game. There's also a lot of questions on what, and why Focus entertainment is collecting and handling your data. The EULA permits collection of a fairly broad range of information, gameplay statistics, IP/network information, hardware configuration, connection history, location information, and telemetry. Why? What is the intent of gathering all of this information for a single player local game? To be clear I am not claiming BioEden itself collects every category of data that the EULA permits. A bro…

Very much enjoyable experience.

Nice relaxing game

Played the demo and pre-ordered. I've enjoyed what I've played of the full release so far. The resource management is especially satisfying and I know I'll sink many hours into once the mod comes out to take the Impact mechanic down a couple notches. Sometimes it's nice to just clean stuff up and create environments for digital animals without the specter of game ending disaster for doing it too enthusiastically. Or, the game could just let you tweak the mechanic. Games are allowed to let you do that now.

Rating: 8.5/10 BioEden is a game that I genuinely enjoyed playing and I know I will play over and over again. It offers a relaxing and engaging experience, and the different game modes help keep things fresh and interesting. Building and managing ecosystems is rewarding, and the game does a good job of making you want to keep playing. That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. The tutorial could be clearer and provide a better introduction to the game's mechanics, especially for new players. I would also love to see more biomes and animal species added, as expanding the variety would make exploration and progression even more enjoyable. Another feature I'd like improved is the way released animals are displayed. This game has an awesome concept, but it has a few problems. The worst one is how slow it is. I'm not someone who would tend to speed through a game, but in order to not invite disaster, you can only have very few buildings up at once, and in order to clean up the biome, you need to wait to place the high expense buildings like antennas and such. So I cleaned up all the waste, and then I re-built a research center near "ruins" only to realize I was at 20 research and I needed 50. Even on the highest speed, this was going to take a while, and I had nothing else to do but wait. I tend to play games in a very careful style, and since this one invites disaster very quick into any builds, it was very slow, indeed. After I realized the amount of time I'd be waiting for my research points to trickle in, I decided this game wasn't for me. It's sad, because I liked the wildlife de-extinction aspect... But I'll probably wander back to other management sims that have a more balanced pace.
