About Small Living World
Small Living World is a complete ecosystem simulator. It simulates everything from the full-water cycle, through plant growth, to the animal reproduction.Every pixel is simulated, everything counts. Watch it evolves by itself, or manipulate the system.
At the beginning, you have access to a limited number of plants and animals. Populate your world to unlock more advance life forms.

Create different biomes with selected plants and animals. Add decorative objects to complete your vision. But be careful, not all combination will succeed.
In Small Living World, everything can be transformed. From the ground level, up to the mountains, down to the sea, you have the control over everything. And you know, with great power comes great responsibility.
Figure out the best environment to make them thrive. Elements like sun light, water, ground and surrounding area affect the growth. Visual icons will help identify their requirements.Once seeded, they will propagate through your world. Be careful where you add them.
Generated pixel per pixel, each plant is unique.

22 living animals available to populate your world. Each has their own behavior and needs. As living entities, they require food and water. Some will feed on vegetables, some others are less friendly.Be sure they have plenty of food before introducing them to your world. It is not easy to maintain the preys / predators balance.
If you are more adventurous, you can even unlock fantasy creatures.

22 objects available to decorate your world. Objects aren't only decorative, some of them possess hidden features. Try and see if you can guess what they do.Structures age overtime. Their appearance slightly changes as the decades past.

For your convenience, the game also includes a Sandbox Mode without any limitation. It first needs to be unlocked from the standard game to prove your competencies.

Fun little sandbox. Not too complex, and has some fun things to play around with. Some things could use some work, especially animal AI. There's some typos, but everything's understandable. Right now, the best way to support many species seems to be themed islands, which is kinda boring. I wanna build an ecosystem, not a zoo. :P Overall, the game had me entertained for a good few hours. I had it run in the background like a desktop pet to look after every once in a while. Some things were a bit annoying, nothing too bad though. Skip if you don't wanna know what's in the game. [spoiler]One or two species will overtake everything else. Food chains are barely a thing. Larger plants almost always kill smaller plants and faster growing ones kill off things of similar size. In forests, you constantly have to replant food or create little clearings of thin soil where only the food plants can grow. Even without trees, berries have a tendency to kill herbs and flowers, turning berries into the only food source. And with almost everything eating berries, the quicker breeding animals drive everything else to extinction. Only animals that do not share a food source may coexist and only if t…8 found this helpful
The visuals are good and so is the gameplay
Lacking in goals and clear instructions, art style is nice and the general vibe, but is ultimately dated and there hasn't been an update in awhile.
Super sweet casual game for people who likes to chill and see their sandbox start as nothing and growing to a nice little jewel of a world. 90's pixel vibes that is super zen and very addictive, the game tests your ability to create a nice cozy little world that you decide if it's a deserted wasteland or a fruitful forrest full of life. Take a tea or coffee and start playing god.
it's a very unique game with very fun game mechanics all around. if there's anything more i'd want in it it would be more animals, and for a change in the wetland animals like toads and flamingo's so there so there living condition is easier to make in game. the animals i want to see in the game are brown bears, raccoons, llamas, goose, wild boars, aardvark, sheep, bats, squirrels, fox, armadillos, cats, woodpeckers, skunk, opossum, capybara, manatees, pelicans, camel, lizard, snake, octopus, manta ray, cow, penguin and monkey i know that's a lot but i would love for those animals to be in the game.
A unique simulation game. It is fun to grow your own forest and keep care of all the animals. You can watch your ecosystem evolves through the centuries. There is a good variety of plants and animals, but I wish for more.
