I really wanted this game to fill the void Viva Pinata left in many of us. But, quoting one of the achievements, "wasn't as good" This game tries to do something I appreciate as it takes clear inspiration from the XBox360 Viva Pinata games. But it misses the mark for me. The 'garden' feels far too large and needs to be much more micromanaged much more than I ever had to in viva Pinata. A large reason this game is more of a chore is because, unlike Viva Pinata, the animals need to eat. Some of them eat plants that you'll have to constantly replant and others will eat other animals, which can lead to an extinction of that animal so you'll have to either evolve some animals back into the extinct ones or collect whatever food that animal eats and make a bunch of clones. On top of that in order to plant anything you need poop, so it's a constant chore of dragging your mouse all around the whole map so you can plant a few broccoli. There are also 4 mini games that are incredibly slow, boring, and unfair. Enemies have spawned on top of me in them, I had no fun at all with any of them. The developers even thought each one was with a "don't get hit achievement" despite the complete lack…

I wish Steam had a better review system than thumbs up and down -_-' Let's say 6 or 7/10 for the current state of the game. This is not a "bad game", I love the evolution tree system and some other aspects, but right now my answer to the Steam question "Would you recommend that game ?" is "No" Repetitive glitches: You can place a fence to protect critters from being eaten by others, but it doesn't matter; it's just a matter of time before one glitches through and eats your protected critter. When overpopulated critters become aggressive to others of the same species, ok, why not, but that doesn't take any logical consideration; you'll often have a species where all the females or all the males disappeared, killed by the offspring. You can't just grab a critter to place it where you want, that shoul be a basic thing in that kind of game, but no, you have to open the fence to be able to lure it, allowing all other critters to exit the enclosure. The biome system is a good idea and totally logical, but in terms of gameplay, it brings more of a punitive mechanic since you can't keep an eye on the hunger and the watering of everything. The solution could be to bring in more automat…

I played the demo and completely forgot it was a demo. Such a fun little game that I was looking for. I like the planting aspect and creature growth aspect, I do wish I could choose for the creature to hunt something instead of having to make them fight eachother but I get the point. It'd be kind of funny to have 1000 slimes on my screen. The controls on keyboard took a bit to get used to, but its super efficient. I actually really like this game compared to Viva Pinata. So many little things streamlined in a goodway, while having the cuteness and wanting to experiment.

After falling in love with Pokopia I went down the rabbit hole looking for similar games...that led me to viva Pinata, which led me to this! I do wish the critters did stuff to help build like in Pokopia but otherwise its a very fun game if you like building habitats for animals.
