Dwarven Rails

I saw dwarfs, trains, tower defense, and rogue-lite, I immediately bought. It works perfectly on both my PC and my Macbook Pro 2020, I will be testing on my steamdeck in a bit. EDIT: Works just fine on my steam deck. You use the track pads to move the curser or use touch screen. My first impression was since no tutorial I was kinda confused but after shooting ore, managing space on the train for all the ore, and just killing lots and lots of bugs, I have to give this game an easy 9/10. Its a really simple gameplay loop, your train departs from the station after you get some upgrades/towers to use, the towers auto target but you can force target ore and needed for boss fights in all 3 acts. You can upgrade your turrets, and if you continue on the rate of fire progress line and upgrade the machine gun, it legit turns into a monster shooting faster than a ciws. It was beautiful hearing the constant brrrt like the A-10. As you progress through the map, you can either encounter enemys, boss nodes, the store ($), event(?) (collecting ore runs or train repair, or a repair station that heals you and you can select one turret (or two if you buy the upgrade) and it restocks ammo hits h…

It's a solid piece of fun for the price point. There is an aspect of RNG, where you will start off with nothing but some starting gold and arrive at a shop, but what is in the shop is randomly generated. As such, you end up with different runs all of the time. Sometimes you'll get unlucky and have to work hard to keep on top of the bugs trying to devour your cart, while other times, you'll get lucky and some good decisions will allow you to cut through those bugs like a hot knife through butter. It's a solidly fun game, with a good amount of replayability and content for the price point. Also, you get a dragon to help you out if you can beat the first level.
