Aegis Force: The Scorian War

Its got good bones. Battles can be plesantly challenging without feeling brutal after you get a hang of the system, the visuals are tasty to look at, and the world feels neat to explore. Is this a perfect game? No, but it deserves a chance to get there. This is still in early access, so yeah, there's quite a few bugs. But the devs are responsive to the bug reports and any that I've brought up have been directly replied to, even if they aren't totally resolved yet. Its a small team doing a lot of work on a game that feels more like a beta test than an early access game. All that aside, its a fun experience and the autosave keeps you from losing too much if you get softlocked somewhere. Once the kinks get worked out this'll be more than worth the money.

Has potential - but needs work. The devs appear active and engaged ... so I'm optimistic!

I know it's early access, but having technical issues in the first fight is a no go for me. Not impressed, interested killed, hoping for a refund.

It has potential, I like the art style and the combat is fun enough. But yeah has some bugs that are annoying atm (but the devs keep working tirelessly to fix them and working in the EA)

This game is fantastic. Yes it needs a bit of refining some bugs and fixes but all in all the only complaint i have is that there needs to be better collision detection with the world you explore. Got trapped a few to many times to my liking for silly missteps. After finishing all that was available for EA i was left disappointed that there wasnt more. I was fully into the game by that point. Quite excited for more to play.

I'll start by saying that Shining Force is in my top 5, and it's not number 5. I'm a few hours in and I love Aegis Force so far. The game does have some ironing out to do, but if the devs keep up the good work it'll be a masterpiece.
