I can't believe I'm scoring a game down for its difficulty but this is boringly unfair. Attempted hardmode 99% of my playthrough, gave up and switched to casual to try and finish it (as I was only 2 areas away from finishing) and didn't want to give this game any more of my time so gave up on my playthrough. I grinded, geared up and still had so, so many zones impossible because of the sheer volume of seemingly unkillable enemies. No amount of timed dodge rolls or potions could keep me alive and I always felt super underpowered. A slog of spending many minutes on a single group of enemies and on top of all of this, that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ voice in your head the whole time spouting the same voice lines over and over. I can't take it anymore. I'm going outside for a long, long time.

It's a cool concept- play as any class with a weapon swap, cast magic, etc. And at first it works pretty well and you're thinking, "Man, why hasn't anyone thought of this before?" Then after a few hours the novelty wears off and I just got too bored with what it offered and too frustrated with what the enemies required. Simplifying your gear options, eliminating builds, etc. means you have little flexibility. I ended up using most of my consumable/magic slots, meant to augment you with cool magic powers, for sustain because mob after trash mob just has BS powers, lethal range in large packs, and invulnerability stages or any number of aggravations. The narrative is "whatever, was I supposed to care about any of that?" and there are no cutscenes, just drawings. There is also some Stanley Parable-style narrator trying to be funny who is.. never. Oh and for some reason some zombies do a Gangnam Style dance. Member the 2010s? You member? Just pass on this and play a better ARPG again.

I played this game CO-OP and it was spectacular. A really fun ARPG to play, it's got a nice story, great combat, and overall, with a friend by your side, a great time :)

Game starts out really fun. Funny narrator, good voice acting, interesting areas with different challenges. You can select two weapons that you can switch between, each weapon giving you acces to 3 unique abilities. But after a few hours, the game becomes a bit boring and repetitive. As abilities only depend on the weapon type, nothing changes if you keep a weapon loadout or change a weapon for a better version of the same type. New weapon types only appear from time to time, and if you do not like a new weapon, the lack of variety continues.

very weak "diablo like" - weapons feel weak - "difficulties" are just how spongy do you want the enemies to be - levels are nice but flat - controls and overall gameplay is just the first 2h extended and recycled for 15h I wouldn't pay more than 5$ - the DLC themselves are an insult to the gamer.

A game so good even that idiot Cockle couldn't ruin it
