About The Puppet of Tersa: Episode One

ABOUT THIS GAME:
This episodic storybook tale takes place in an era of the past, before computers and smartphones, when children solved problems through exploration and creativity. It is a point-and-click narrative adventure presented in a hand-drawn style that blends childlike innocence with something darker.

The Puppet of Tersa is a five episode series. Through each episode, Cynthia delves deeper into the world of Tersa, a place both whimsical and creepy, with bizarre creatures and unusual inhabitants. In her search for a way home. Searching for answers, making new friends, and solving puzzles and problems that will ultimately allow her to confront the mysterious force that keeps Cynthia from going home. Cynthia’s story begins with the first episode, The Puppet of Tersa: A Curious Place.

KEY FEATURES:
  • Advancement Through Puzzles:
The core foundation of gameplay requires Cynthia to solve puzzles in order to progress.
  • Experiment with Interactions:

  • Digitally Hand-Painted, 2D Style:
The world of Tersa is digitally hand-painted using specialized brushes to give the presence of the artist's hand at work.

The Puppet of Tersa is a charming episodic adventure game set in a fantasy world. The games hand-drawn graphics and bizarre characters grant a unique and enjoyable experience for all adventure and puzzle game enthusiasts. Pros + Beautiful hand-drawn graphics and aesthetics. + Immersive and whimsical story-telling told through the innocent eyes of a child whilst incorporating darker themes. + Lots of objects to interact with. + Abundance of character dialogue. + Active developers responding to community feedback Cons - No voice overs for any dialogue - Nitpick Short game length of approximately 2 hours for the first episode. - Nitpick Lack of difficulty in puzzle progression. Another great addition for every point & click adventurer's library! All of the characters are memorable and interesting, there are some really cute and funny dialogues and monologues, some of the puzzles are pretty straightforward and some others are a bit harder, the art style is perfect, the music is nice, and there are zero bugs. Now, let's just hope we'll get the rest of the episodes, because I really dislike incomplete stories. Till next time, just keep pointing & clicking.

This game has a certain charm to it. The characters are weird yet likable. The art style is unique. It has decent humor in the dialogue. Overall I like it. My only complaint is that the puzzle difficulty varies a lot, rather then a steady progression. One puzzle in the 2nd area totally stumped me yet the ones that followed seemed much easier, but in all honesty that might be because I'm generally not that great at point and click games. I would recommend it to fans of the genre based on the charm I mentioned at the beginning of the review.

Great game!!! The art style of this game is very unique and the game play is great. The puzzles are challenging but not overly so. Music is great to listen to and fits everything perfect!!! I hope to see more of this game. I hope this review isn't too bad I never played a game where I actually bothered to leave a written review!
