Awesome game! Story 8/10: The story is awesome and gripping but gets kinda confusing and paced in the end. Graphic Design 10/10: I just love these drawings! Diversity 10/10: As always Daedalic implemented many different voice lines for combining wrong things. Speed 10/10: Although there are riddles, that can actually confuse you it's not frustrating in any way. Pleasantly surprised. I bought bundle of Daedalic games age ago and finally had time, mood and will to play some point & click. It was delightful adventure with actually nice story and fun twists. Quartets was an interesting mini-game to play with inhabitants of Mousewood (tho sometimes it felt like they are cheating <.<). Good point & click game to enjoy, getting it on sale or bundle would be great choice. ^^
This game is impressive even now. I bought this game several years ago. Like so many others, it got lost in my library and I never got around to playing it. I am so glad I downloaded it yesterday, but it is one of those games you can get so sucked into ... I played for nine hours straight. Between the voice acting, unique dialogue, hand-drawn art style, and the story, this is one that will stick with me for a long while. I will get back in at some point to get the rest of the achievements, when I have time for another nine hour session! Strong competitor with popular point-and-click puzzle adventure games ... is it too late to ask for a sequel?
Good if on a steep Steam sale or for a 20-hour casual adventure. I can see this being for a younger audience, for sure. There's no real danger or consequences, unlike most other point-and-click adventure games. Be careful when saving or loading the game, as the UX is a bit horrible. I lost a chunk of progress because there was no auto-save and I accidentally hit load instead of save. The beginning and end felt tacked on as if the budget ran out, but the rest of the game was pretty decent and the voice acting was good overall. The puzzles weren't too puzzling--I only got stuck a few times and looked up some gradual hints to get me unstuck, so only a couple of puzzles weren't intuitive. Overall, worth the $2.50 I got it for 90% off. I usually buy games with longer playtime, so at that price and over 20 hours on log, I feel I got my money's worth.
