Faeria

An always‑online single‑player game is an automatic “not recommended” for me. I got the game for free and wanted to buy the DLCs, but when I noticed that the AI was running on the server (why?), I changed my mind.

Faeria is the best CCG of all time. Not gameplay-wise. Although very good designed, deep, full of single-player content and beautiful, Faeria is not a better game than many other great CCGS. Its the best of its kind, because its pay2play. Buy the game, buy the expansions, and youre done spending money. Yes, progression is much too slow, especially for new players, and even with the premium-dlc, that doubles progression. Which means, that as a new player, you will eventually hit a wall against players with much stronger (aka rarer) cards, that you dont have access to. But, on the other side, theres no money-shop ingame, which i havent experienced in ANY other professional online-CCG! And, even after 9 years, there still is an online-community to play against. Its thin, and queue-times usually take a minute or two, but, you can queue for PvP and Arena at once, so its bearable, and: the game is still alive! I wholeheartedly hope for a Faeria 2, and more pay2play CCGs in the future.

A solid card game. I haven't done all there is to do yet, or even tried an online battle, but so far the single player stuff is good. It's kind of like a more interesting Hearthstone.

Abandoned
