Quasimorph

This game changed my life.

It's very hard. But it's so satisfying to learn. Tons of mechanics and gear, and each run is going to play vastly different because you're going to discover classes/item recipes in different orders, and unlock upgrades in different orders. You're going to level different factions, which further changes the availability of your gear. Crazy engrossing and addictive if you're willing to learn the mechanics of pain, dodge being reduced by equip load, and when to change your movement and how you're going to use cover. If you start losing multiple runs or waste time traveling to distant planets, you WILL get outpaced in tech and you'll need to restart. That's the fun. Starting a fresh, new run and getting to feel strong again, taking what you learned from your last failed save and doing even better.

Give a dog a bone, he'll eat for a day. Give a dog an assault rifle, and he'll...bah, you wouldn't get it. Just play the game. 12/10

Phenomenal, especially on Steam Deck. There's just so much to do, and itches a defensive mindset type gameplay. This game does not hold your hand but the learning curve is part of the fun. I'm at least 100 hours in and I still feel like there's so much to learn.

100+ hours in Quasimorph is legally recognized as grounds for an insanity defense.

Captivating gameplay / plot / setting. Very high difficulty but it's not something that seems outright unfair.
