I liked the initial concept, but I got bored of this because it got too slow in terms of progression and became a game of just waiting for something to happen with very little player input.

not fun

This game is, well, it's nothing special. Unless you're going for 100% completion you can finish this game in 1-2 hours. While it is only a $3 game, it does nothing new with the formula. I found myself more bored and doing spreadsheet math for most of my playtime. It plays like an old facebook game if they took most of the time gating away, and doesn't have really any payoff for it.
