This game is probably one of the best farming games I have EVER played and I have played cozy farming games for two decades lol. i'm not going to go into too much detail to avoid spoilers. dig in and enjoy it.
I love this game! The animation style is cute. There are so many storied characters that I'm going to be busy for awhile!
I needed a cozy farming game similar to Stardew Valley, and this is it. I espcially love the underwater farm after you unlock the merfolks village. However I wish we could unlock more things underwater...... There wasn't much to do for my underwater farm (not as much upgrades compared to the ground-level farming, which I was a bit disappointed). I noticed there were some glitches here and there.... Also I wish the hang outs relationships had a much shorter cutsenes.... it was nice at the beginning as a new player but got a bit redundant... The game does get a bit grindy (lol like most farming games do). I really had the urge to play different farming games similar to stardew valley and I very much enjoyed this!
Like Fields of Mistria, this is also shaping up to be an excellent StardewValleyAlternative. If Harvest Moon is the Grandfather of this particular gaming lineage, and SDV thus the proverbial father/mother, then this would be another addition to the daughter/son in a fun lineage. Mistrias inter-character dialogue and town connectivity seem to be the highest of the three, but this still provides a stronger showing thus far on the genre than pictures or videos seem to show off, and that's without having yet explored the mysteries it has to uncover. Only a day in at the moment, and pretty much everything flows very well.
A very enjoyable sim game. Heavy on the grind, but it has some elements that are uniquely Coral Island, which I found surprisingly engaging. I personally play sims games hard for a month and then touch them again a year later, so this game is a bit too expansive for that. Seems a bit daunting with the amount of things to do and the pull to try and do everything while under a clock system. It's a lovely game, with a lot of engaging aspects of farming, fishing, mining, and underwater exploration. The townies are sweet, and I love the island feel.
Addicting, straightforward, and lots to do.
