Now why am I reviewing this game 11 years after release? I realised it was on my wishlist for a while and will never be discounted again, so why not give it a shot. I used to have the physical tabletop game this is based off as a kid, so was hoping for a nostalgia hit. It really does feel 11 years old. It looks like an Xbox 360 game that has been hastily ported, partly due to it running perpetually in 720p and partly because there are Xbox button references everywhere, despite me having no controller attached and playing on keyboard alone. The frame rate looks OK when looking at player animations, but the ball seems to run at 5fps and jiggles it's way down the pitch at you, making it difficult to time batting strokes right. There's a YouTube video in the community content showing it running at 60fps, but I have no idea how they made that happen. Stats tell me it is running at N/A, while GPU utilization is at 2% and CPU at 7% (which are the same stats as running idle without the game open). OS shortcuts don't want to work while playing, so can't pop up the start menu or window the game or even alt+f4 out of it. Esc not being tied to the pause menu is also super odd and coupled with…

one of the WORST game i have ever played. RUBBISH!

The best way to describe this game is that is almost the same as the popular table top game "Test Match" with the fielders being almost totally stationary and they can only move a small distance if a ball is close enough to take the "catch". Its pretty simple to play which is good for young and old, don't expect a whiz bang serious game, it is just for fun. Be aware that you must move your cursor off the screen as it will do the loading symbol all the time and the music is loud. The big downside is that somebody thought it was a good idea to put bright white flashes in every time a play hits a boundary, scores a six, gets out or takes a wicket, it is very strong and closing your eyes doesn't really help.
