Derivative clone of Limbo with cheap, trial-and-error traps and braindead "puzzles." Uninstalled less than two hours in.

It's buggy, frustrating, and not a puzzle game. I can literally overlook some minor bugs and the simple artwork, even it's mostly inspired by Limbo. But when the puzzles don't require any degree of thinking or problem solving, it just becomes another copycat 2D puzzle-platformer. If it's platforming related, don't make the mechanics so clunky. If it's puzzle related, the puzzles should be satisfying to solve, not just about finding a hidden object behind an obstacle or other boring stuff like pressing the correct buttons that they r totally RNG without any clue. I hate the arrow-shooting room. There is no way to know where the arrows are coming from before activating the trap. The only way to learn the correct route is to trigger it, die, and then you know where you're supposed to go and how you're supposed to avoid them. I also hate the red desert bugs that come from underground. It feels like they were supposed to be traps, but they're not. You just have to dodge them with clunky mechanics. There are also some traps that instantly activate spikes and kill you as soon as you step on them. You die no matter what because you can't even see the platform that triggers them. I…
Creaks
☐ Loved it ☑ Liked it ☐ Not for me Weighted rating out of 5
2.90

Summary
Silhouette-visuals 2D platformer where a small boy ventures into dark caves to rescue people kidnapped by a mysterious evil. Best for: Low mental effort puzzle game with some clever gotcha-mechanics and pleasant minimalist art. Skip if: You expect Limbo's visual poetry and polish.
Review
It is clearly derived from Limbo. The general art direction, the saws, the antagonist running away to short and awkward music placements. But if we are to compare it against Limbo it should also be clear that the game in part stands on its own: It has a breath of variety in the challenges than Limbo. It has a less fatigued color scheme and flickering than Limbo. It has smoother controls than Limbo. And it's also in a good technical shape; the runtime loop isn't impacted by the frame rate limits like in Limbo (despite though the odd side-scrolling effect when dying). It's even gentle towards the Decks' battery. Don't get me wrong, Limbo is a more polished and immersive experience, but this has its own legs. I looks to get a worse rep than deserved from being so …

really nice platformer with a dark atmosphere and beautiful visuals the levels can be challenging but the game is pretty satisfying to play and explore

Honestly, it's alright, gotta give the developer credit for trying a lot of things out and being creative in some areas, it's a decent 1 hour adventure But like many have said, it's not a puzzle game, it's just a simple platformer with the most basic story you could do to still be called a story For it's gameplay, you'll mostly avoid enemies, sometimes move an object, avoid some obstacles and maybe enter a code Art is alright, music sounds like something I would find in a stock library, and the controls are not that bad I mean I can't really highlight things that are a standout about this, unlike how special Limbo was this just doesn't have the same vibe despite looking similar
