Hums are small creatures that you must capture in the Astral to get memories or solve puzzles with their energy. Depending on the color on their head, they may have different behaviors. Some hide in the grass, others run faster, they may even camouflage themselves among other hums.
Enter the doors of perception that Astrum provides and find your way out. Each one has a different personality, as if it were a visual haiku.

Torii is a solid indie game. It's pretty short, it requires no more than 2-3 hs to complete, but it's replayable for some collectibles and trophies. Gameplay mixes some puzzles and a very basic but effective stealth. It's not difficult at all, it's very accesible for all kind of players. Story is also simple, but powerful. It's told in a pretty weird way though: cutscenes (if we can call it that way) are presented in a rather unusual way, suddenly popping up and interrupting the gameplay, almost with the abruptness of a jumpscare. The visuals are another strong point of the game. They’re simple, but quite eye-catching, and it even reminded me of Journey in some specific parts. The soundtrack isn’t very present, but when it is, it’s well used.4 found this helpful

I miss this type of games, in an era where everything is NOW and overstimulating, Torii offers space and quietness. It's not peaceful, as it's a game that explores intricate emotions, but it's a reflexive journey. I'm enjoying it very much.1 found this helpful

Unfortunately doesn't quite hit the mark. While I think I enjoyed this game and I completed all of it,* I feel like I only understood about 60% of the disjointed storytelling. I also faced several unpleasant bugs throughout, including unwanted progression during exploration (which the collectables highly encourage), graphics settings that would not save between game areas and cutscenes, and being told I gathered all of the collectables when I didn't. In addition, the "puzzles" were all very simple and I was able to solve or brute force them all in a couple of minutes tops. Other reviewers mention puzzles taking a long time, I did not experience that at all. I also do not know what "stamina" system is being discussed in other reviews, I guess it was removed in an update? I thought world traversal was actually one of the nice, fluid features of the game. I think that with some more polish around mechanics and technical aspects this game I would have enjoyed it a lot more. * With the caveats of A) like I mentioned I didn't actually get all the collectables even though I was rewarded as if I did, and also B) I didn't understand the "Shiny" hunting (not sure if I was doing it wr…
