Strike Force: Arctic Storm

Positives:
+ Got some Delta Force & Project IGI vibe to it + Nostalgic feel + Okay entertainment for a while + Free weapons of choice + The sniper rifle and scope weapons + Acceptable gunplay + Ok sized maps + Different difficulty levels to choose from + In-game map
Negatives:
- Only 5 missions in total - You must be within 1 metre of the green marks to trigger the next location mark (if you accidentally miss one, you must go all the way back again) - There is no difference if the enemy is looking or shooting at you - If you are within a given diametre the enemy will shoot and hit you all the time (and they also shoot through obstacles) - Low distance view (everything in the distant is quite blurry with low resolution) - The enemy hitbox is the same (there is no difference if you shoot the hand or the head) - Irritating moaning of the player when you are hit - Your weapon halfway disappears when close to walls - Retro looking graphics (lets be honest, it looks quite awful) - The AI is utterly terrible (a drunken monkey could do a much better job) - Not enough variation (you mostly do the same things over again) - Only sn…

https://youtu.be/bkSfDjFJDYs While functional the provided product is a seemingly random assortment of enemy placements and box build buildings that generate little to no action or excitement.

I'm not really sure if Strike Force: Arctic Storm is an asset flip. Some elements of this game certainly make it seem like the developer put some effort into assembling some kind of original here. On the other hand, a lot of the game assets don't seem like they were created by the developer, but they haven't credited any asset creators for supplying assets, which might be a case of plagiarism. There's no evidence, so we need to give the benefit of the doubt... regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself. This is a really poorly made first person military shooter... some have tried badly to draw comparisons to this and Delta Force/Ghost Recon (the OG Ghost Recon) but that's like comparing a Lada to a Ferrari. This is really sloppy, with clunky movement, fuzzy graphics... it's rather comical shooting some random NPC soldier asset in the head four times before he decides to have a lie down. As game this barely works at all. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game assets are fairly mediocre/low qu…

Strike Force: Arctic Storm is a military first-person shooter developed and published by West Forest Games that pays clear tribute to the tactical shooters of an earlier era. Functioning as a standalone companion to Strike Force: Desert Thunder, the game embraces a style of design that has become increasingly uncommon in modern shooters. Instead of emphasizing cinematic storytelling, scripted set pieces, and constant action, it focuses on large environments, mission freedom, and long-range engagements. The result is a title that feels like a deliberate throwback to classic military simulations, particularly those inspired by the Delta Force series. The game's campaign places players in the role of a special operations soldier assigned to stop terrorist threats in remote arctic regions. The narrative itself is relatively straightforward, serving primarily as a framework for a series of combat operations rather than as a deeply developed story. The focus remains firmly on the missions, with each objective presenting a tactical challenge that requires careful planning and execution. Rather than leading players through narrow corridors and heavily scripted sequences, the game encourag…

Simple. Turn off your "mUh sTalKeR 2" realism mindset, equip you the sniper rifle, play on low difficulty, and kill some bl@ck people. Easy fun time killer between breakfast and brunch.
