About Warpin: Creation (VR)

Restore the Glory of Creation

At the dawn of reality, two great essences imagined a grand plan for life. But there was a flaw in their design. New worlds beyond reach, began to threaten the very dimensions they had been constructed from. Now, you must travel to these maze-like fragments of existence and purge them of flaws while uncovering a deeper truth about the warpstream itself.

Built from the ground up for VR, Warpin: Creation takes you to the midimensions that lie in the warpstreams between our world and others. Recruited by an unknown great one, your combat skills are all that stand between life's premise and the ultimate unraveling of reality. Journey through endless midimensions seeking to restore the glory of creation. Overcome enemy strategies, battle monsters, gather artifacts, and upgrade abilities to become a true guardian of existence.

Cool Features
  • Active VR Combat: Utilize your body to wield swords, shields, axes, rifles, and more. Deflect enemy attacks. Quickly switch between sword and board, dual-wielding, or other weapon configurations to create a rapid and flexible combat style that suits your needs at any moment.
  • Forge Powerful Weapons: Acquire magical and technogical abilities and equip your weapons with them. Mix and match different abilities to build unique battle styles and strengths.
  • Prepare For Battle: Stock your safe hold with a display of stunning weaponry and create a staging room for your battles to restore creation.
  • Seek and Destroy: Navigate thru maze-like midimensions to find flaws and purge them. Use your pathfinding and memory skills to find the next flaw.
  • Dynamic Levels and increasing complexity: Battle against an increasing amount of flaw cunning and strategy. Fight your way thru increasingly larger midimensions and enemy fortresses.

I have been looking for a more fleshed out RPG with sword and board combat after having played Vanishing Realms and the description of this game was promising, however, in the end this game is simply bad and doesn't make fun to play through. 1. Disappointing melee combat: this game makes the same major mistake some other VR games are doing, you feel like swinging around a stick that floats through all enemies. Even haptic feedback is worse than in most games. 2. False advertising: while you do have a sword and shield at your disposal, in the end the sword is actually used to shoot out projectiles. The game is more like a shooter than a sword fighting game. 3. Active VR combat? Another lie: you are simply teleporting around and actually don't have to move your own body that much. Just aim with your sword (how ridiculousis that!) and shoot your enemies. With your sword. 4. Bad animation: the enemies move hilariously bad. Most of the enemies I've met only had 1 (one!) single attack animation. Of course melee combat won't be exciting that way. 5. Bad sound mixing: there are some sounds that are way too loud, others are the opposite. Very jarring experience. Voice acting sometimes soun…

Fantastic concept. It's a little rough around the edges since it's still in early access, but I can picture a fully polished version of this game as being the sort of thing that people got into VR for. It's kind of a mix between an action game and a puzzle solver. Visuals are beautiful. Voice Acting is good. Audio effects are crap, but I'm hoping that's one of the things that gets improved with future updates.

I recieved this copy for beta testing and have video on my YouTube page if you want to check any out. Very nice sci-fi action game. Graphics are colorful and nice and this game keeps you moving along when you enter a level. Casual players and hardcore can enjoy this one depending on how you build your character and the levels you play. You can level your character and upgrade weapons and abilities and come back to base and rest in between battles. The progression is done in a more unique and unconventional way. Therefore, all I can say is buy this and give it a try. Give it at least 1 hour before judging and the developer is more than glad to give tips and pointers on how to play the game most effectively as well as take your feedback. If you like sci-fi games in VR than I don't see why this should not be part of your library. FYI: It has guns and melee combat.
