Fractal (2017)

I initially got this game because I was impressed by the sleek visuals from the trailer. The gameplay is sort of like tilt brush meets action game where you time enemy attacks and paint to block and counter them. Overall a lot of potential, but have to see if the developers can excute all the planned features.

Great little game with alot of potential. The idea is simple yet it keeps you on your toes and moving around to try and deflect enemies. Like others have said, imagine Tilt bursh mixed with action. Currently there are only 3 levels but given how fresh this is to the market that is to be expected but I am really looking forward to more being added and unlocking more runes. Pro's Fun and cheap Original idea Progression via Runes Con's Needs more content, but sure more will come soon :) Overall a great game and at this price a must have for all Vive owners.

Abandonware.

Very underwhelming to me. The visuals are nice, the gameplay idea somewhat interesting. But the implementation of motion controllers seems to be an afterthought. Menu items need to be pressed for a long duration in the style of look-to-activate navigation, which is unnecessarily slow with no gain. The enemy indicators are very much centered in the view area unfitting to the generally much wider view angle you have in the VR headset, and they seem to be 2D only. As a result the indicators are not only helpful in finding enemies, but also very confusing where the enemies are, or which ones you already prepared counter measures for. With enemies coming in very slow and out of reach, you set up counter measures, and go to the next one. But suddenly you get confused which enemies are new. The indicators completely break spacial awareness of enemies. They are necessary for effective play though, as enemies come from all sides and angles. The progression in the first level is very slow. The combination of this made me lose interest and have no desire to continue. The game had a cool conceit, but the controls tanked it. Using my Vive controllers, I could only reliably switch colors about half of the time. Unfortunately, the entire game is built around rapidly changing colors to match inbound enemies and projectiles, so it was effectively unplayable.

slow repetitive boring cool artwork, but... yeah i wouldnt recommend it its basically like BROOKHAVEN EXPERIMENT for 3 year olds colored squares float towards you from all sides, choose the matching color to paint them so they explode thats it...
