I used to play these games with my dad when I was a little kid. This is one of the better early games! I really enjoyed replaying this one by myself, and although I probably have some nostalgia goggles (shout-out to the charm of old PC games), I think this is a great game to play if you're looking for some puzzles that aren't too hard and a few real thinkers. These are great games to play alone or with younger kids.

This was my very first Nancy Drew game. I love the castle, and yes Professor Hotchkiss lol. It is a short game though in my opinion. Still a great starter game.

Very fun, concise game. Puzzles were a bit easy, but great game play. Classic Nancy.

Classic Nancy Drew storytelling at its finest. This was the first ND game I played and I go through it at least once a year or so, maybe every other year. Nancy is on a Wisconsin ski vacation (from her busy life as a jobless 18 year old living with her dad and housekeeper?). However, she isn't skiing because the castle ski resort she's staying at is snowed in and much too cold to go out in the snows for. While at the castle, Nancy learns the library was vandalized from the castle caretaker Dexter Egan. He warns her off the library, but she's Nancy, so she has to find out who vandalized the library. While poking around in tunnels and elevator shafts, Nancy finds various medallions with different stones and learns that there's more to the castle than what initially appears. Here's where the fiction aspect of this game comes in: the tower where Queen Marie Antoinette was held prior to her death has been deconstructed and rebuilt as part of the castle, complete with the passages that were there when she was alive so long ago. Jacques Brunais, a former French Olympian and a man in love with an American girl desperate for marriage, wants to find Marie's journal in that tower to cl…

Kept me hooked. I did get lost for a bit trying to figure out what I was missing. Ended up being a piece of paper in professors room with the symbols. After I got that it was smooth sailing.
