Legend of the Crystal Skull is the 17th Nancy Drew game. In this game, Nancy wanders into a mystery while on vacation in New Orleans. While going to check on a young man who just lost his uncle, Nancy is attacked by a mysterious figure in a skeleton costume and discovers that the old man's passing may not have been as natural as it initially seemed. There are two mysteries here to solve: what (if anything) caused the death of Bruno Bolet, and what became of his prized crystal skull. There aren't that many characters, so the suspects are limited. There's a supernatural element to the mystery, and the game explores the idea that belief can be powerful even if it isn't based in reality. The ending didn't really surprise me very much, although I appreciated that it leaves the supernatural elements somewhat ambiguous. The puzzles were pretty difficult. I ended up having to look up a lot of hints along the way. Many of them were complicated but well-designed, but some of them were hard to understand or super overcomplicated. There were also a handful that were easy to understand in concept but were finicky, repetitive, or required a lot of backtracking. The setting, a dark house in…3 found this helpful
Nostalgic
Every goth's dream house.
IF YOUR GAME REFUSES TO LAUNCH: Ensure this game installs to your C Drive or it WILL NOT launch! I thought the game was just busted for the longest time till the thought occurred to me. Move it to the C drive, and all will be well.
Good fun
The game was insipid. The puzzles were extremely difficult, especially the skeeball game.
