Sanator: Scarlet Scarf

I'm going to be upfront and say I bought this just because the backgrounds and the avatar look so cool 😭. I'm glad I did though because I enjoyed the story. I came in completely blind so I was expecting a long fantasy game. But then I was surprised when the game suddenly ended (not crashed, the story just came to an abrupt close). I was considering not going for the other endings but I decided to do it anyways since the game is pretty short. What I liked about the game: - The art. Whoever made the art is very talented because each picture evoked certain vibes that I haven't felt in a while. - The soundtracks and especially the sound design was top notch. - The characters were great. They grew on me, especially Richard. I wish we got to see more of the other plague doctors though. - The worldbuilding was pretty awesome. I wish we saw more of Tentaria and Reustadt before the game ended. What I didn't like: - How short it was. Maybe it was a good thing since there were 4 other endings but I was expecting it to be much longer. It feels like the setup happened and we finished the first act but then it suddenly sped forward and ended lol. The endings were pretty cool though s…

Summary: Get on sale, not worth full price This game only takes a little over an hour to complete everything (my time says 2hrs cause I accidentally left it running). It is by no means a bad game, I just feel it is underbaked. The story has many interesting premises that are never fully realized. The writing, and this may be translation errors, is stilted and off. The amount of times the mc talks about spanking kids (as punishment, not sexually) was odd to say the least. The art is at some points amazing, and other times...poor. I could tell where places were worked on hard and others fell by the wayside. I would not recommend this game except on sale. If you can get it for cheap, it's a fun romp. Not worth asking price for time and quality though.

Love it.

short and sweet. interesting world and characters, though held back by a somewhat poor english localization. i got it on sale for just a few bucks and found it really worth it!

The story is short but interesting But most of all, the world you can see behind the story look captivating

this game has officially infected my brain in the best way possible.
