About Watergate Xtreme
You and up to three friends (or three computer controlled guys if you're short on friends) are in a top down maze trying to hit each other with your bombs, but you're going to have to control your guy and your bomb at the same time! It's hard. It's really hard and it's going to put your ambidexterity to the test. Choose from 8 characters, 8 levels, there's like 5 catchy 8-bit songs, I don't know, what are you waiting for? It's gonna be super fun and all your friends will think you're really cool when you drop Watergate trivia on them like how G Gordon Liddy ate a rat once. Anyway, call your friends, invite them over, pour some glasses of your favorite beverages, and play some Watergate Xtreme.

✦ AI summary
Players are divided on Watergate Xtreme, with some finding it an enjoyable throwback party game with solid retro aesthetics and music, while others consider it fundamentally broken with janky controls, poor gameplay, and lazy graphics that don't justify its price. Common complaints include unclear tutorials and confusing mechanics, though supporters appreciate the historical humor and coding effort behind the concept.

Watergate Xtreme is a 2D action arcade game like Pac-Man meets Super Smash Brothers, but only if both of those games were completely and utterly terrible. Unsurprisingly the result is completely and utterly terrible. As a game, this fails all minimum quality tests. Graphics are awful retro pixel laziness. Controls are janky. Gameplay is worse than an arcade game played in a browser. They want $4.50 for this quality nightmare. Avoid at all costs. This game is so bad, Will Carlough should surrender himself to the authorities on the grounds of committing atrocities against gamers and against society itself.3 found this helpful
Very quality game. BEST Historical Background and jokes. Gotta respect the history knowledge and the coding skill... Maybe explain power ups in tutorial though.2 found this helpful

For those of us who enjoy throwback graphics and sound, this game captures the old NES style perfectly. Also, the music is way better than it needs to be. You'll be humming the various songs for days. Perfect party game. Quietly load it up when you have some friends over and enjoy everyone's "WTF?!" reactions as they start chosing their characters and try to figure the game out.1 found this helpful
