About Austen Translation
Austen Translation is a satirical strategy game set in the world of Jane Austen—a tongue-in-cheek riff on caustic rivalries, appalling preconceptions of the roles of women and men, and, of course, the unending quest to marry well. In Austen Translation, the player takes on the role of an innocent young woman who has to convince a wealthy bachelor to marry her so she can escape a future of poverty and destitution.
But this isn't your English teacher's Jane Austen. Our game takes Jane's genteel brand of satire and sends it over the top, creating an Austen experience which has gone completely off the rails. It’s an experience rife with dropping pianos, outrageous rumors, and mercilessly manipulated rivalries. A Jane for the digital ages, as it were.

A game you can play in short but sweet sessions to enjoy a little regency satire. Can get repetitive and could be improved with more complexity, but I enjoyed playing several rounds. It would be more fun to play with a group of friends, but when you're an Austen fan, you take what you can get. There really should be more Austen-esque video games.1 found this helpful
A very cute game, much harder than it looks at first glance.
This is a simple game to play, but it quickly becomes very repetitive. Also, if you are the type who wants 100% completion of achievements, then stay away. Most of the achievements are not things you can actually earn through your own efforts. They are luck-based.
Like others have said, the voice over is the highlight but the game itself is repetitive.
Very difficult game to review - some aspects of it are very fun and cute, I enjoyed the game, and the voice over is excellent (scolding you for skipping rhe cutscene!), and it's a loveletter to Austen. But its not very long game. Being able to add more rounds (and multiple selections per round) would give it more strategic depth as sadly there isn't enough gameplay for a strong recommendation. But supporting small games are important so it's worth it for that.
