The Cave VR

[h1]Played On: [b]HTC Vive[/b][/h1] The Cave is a short virtual reality game about, well, being in a cave. At the start, you can choose from two gameplay modes; the recently added arcade mode, or the regular one. In arcade mode, you must move back and forth along a narrow plank, avoiding swinging logs in order to get the gems that appear on either side. The faster you are, the more points you earn. This part was added by the developer in order to increase the longevity of the title, and while it gets a bit boring alone it's well suited for party-play. As for the regular version of the game, you pretty well get what you see in the trailer on the store page. You start out on the same narrow plank from the arcade mode, although this time you're tasked with making it to the other side. The catch is, the ending is the same no matter if you pass or fail. Sure, this game is about experiencing fear and nearly impossible real life situations, and it's neat the first time it happens. After that, though, it's somewhat frustrating to wait through the end cutscene as it's quite long and drawn out. The Cave VR is an extremely short plank experience that does little to satisfy any itch. The addition of the log dodging mini-game does very little to redeem what the original lacked. There is barely anything offered to warrant a price of any kind. Aside from the proper use of roomscale the title is short of even being a tech demo. I received this product for free for the purpose of review and cannot in good conscience recommend it.

Much too short for a paid VR experience. It could be a little more interesting if I could walk around for a longer while.

i mean it has a good base line going for it but other then that i couldnt reccomend it.

Awesome game, we had a great time experiencing fears on the simulation section, then we challenge each other playing on the arcade game, it is a funny and really exciting game.
