LOST CAVE

Despite being a puzzle game and not having said that in the description, tags, or anywhere else on the store page (at the time of purchase and at the time of writing this review), I want to like this game. The graphics are phenomenal, transitions between first and 3rd person are seamless, and the story seems entertaining… But, as of right now the bugs are just too frustrating. Trying to move while in first person up and down stairs and ramps, across bridges, or even across the threshold of stairs causes you to get stuck or slowly slide off the map. The game needs to incorporate alternative styles of movement. Aiming and collision detection seem way off as well (especially in the dragon level). The sound clips are very poor quality too. I'm not talking about the English narration (although it could do with a bit more believability), it's the walking sound clips, some of the action clips, and various others that just do not leave the best quality of sound in your ear holes. Also, it's really annoying to have to suffer through the intro to the map if you fail, like on the dragon level, every single time. You control the blue character with your right hand, the red character with your left hand. While in observer mode you press the trackpads to move them. By pressing the trigger button you take control of either character. While in first-person the only mode of movement is arm swinging locomotion. There are many actions that require you to play in first-person mode: Things like pulling levers, climbing robes, and lighting torches. As you would imagine, you need to keep switching between characters because the puzzles require each character to play their part to keep things advancing. While in observer mode there’s a constant overlay in your view showing the locations of the two characters. At first I thought it would get annoying but I eventually got used to it and it didn’t bother me. The graphics are great. But the voice acting is underwhelming. This game also reminds me of the classic pancake game 'Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons' Awesome stuff! Do not overlook this gem of a title!

The game is more fun than I thought. It was a 'game-like' game during VR games. There were some bugs in the game (sound effects bugs, character moving bugs). But there was no big problem playing the game. I also liked the way of playing the game by alternating two characters, and it was especially good to play alternately between the third person and the first person. The puzzle difficulty is not smooth, but it was good to be novel. If you want to enjoy an adventure game with your VR device, it was a good game to recommend.

Update. So I spent some more time with this Game the other day. I was finally getting the hang of the switching back and forth among game characters and finding my way through. So what I one thought at the beginning when i first started to play the game as not good or bad have been upgraded. The dynamics of the game i feel are really incredible from the Character Movements, the Puzzles placed together requiring both characters to be played in order to solve the puzzles. I had initially felt odd using 2 characters and going back and forth. Having spent more time on the game while it does take a little getting used to using 2 characters it is much needed in the way the puzzles were designed. Graphics are truly amazing and the effects ( the lighting, the torches etc ) add to the feeling of being truly in a cave environment right down to the echoing of foot steps upon the cave floor. Would i suggest this game. ABSOLUTELY! details, visuals, puzzles, the experience is awesome.

Game is really fun, transition between 3rd person and first person is really well done. There is still some glitches left and right but still a very good game
