About RESEQUENCED
While investigating the mysterious disappearance of her parents, a college student's DNA is modified.
RE*SEQUENCED is a 3D open-world adventure game focused on story, exploration and combat. You play as Lux Hart, a college student who travels to her parents' rural home during summer break, only to find them missing. While investigating their disappearance, she uncovers their connection with the mysterious underground agency The Redaction Commission. Using alien tech acquired by the Commission, her DNA is edited and resequenced, arming her with extraordinary abilities.
Here are some of the mechanics and features of the game:
* Lux can fight with DNA mods, which are essentially superpowers that are grouped into four classes: Incinerate, Freeze, Shock and Invoke.
* She can also use guns. At present, there are eight gun types defined.
* Guns can be upgraded using weapon parts, which can be looted from fallen enemies, and found in crates placed throughout the game. Six weapon attributes can be upgraded, including damage, reload speed, range, etc.
* Lux gains skill points as she levels up. These can be spent to customise her abilities; e.g. permanently increase her overall health, reduce the cooldown time of her DNA mods, etc.
* Lux’s outfits (and hair) can be changed. There are over 800 different clothing and hair items in the game, so it's easy to customise Lux to a unique look.
* Collectibles are scattered across each level. There are almost 100 collectible items in the game, such as documents, audio files, etc. In addition, consumable items such as medkits and shield energy packs can be found near combat areas.
* Each level contains tasks (e.g. "remove propaganda posters") which can be used to earn XP. Lux can also earn XP by completing challenges (e.g. "kill 10 enemies with the sniper rifle").
* There are a huge variety of enemies. We won’t spoil the journey here, but once you get into the story, you’ll understand why there are so many different creatures from mythology, urban legends and horror that actually exist in the game.
* The game has 12 distinctly different environments, including a deserted nuclear testing facility, a derelict Chinese spacecraft, a post-apocalyptic town, a middle Eastern desert, underground caves, snowfields, and more.
All of the above features are already implemented and running in the game right now. We have a lot of ideas about what we’d like to add, but we’d love to get feedback from the gaming community!
RE*SEQUENCED is available now on Windows and Mac.

I mean, this game is kinda bad. Camera constantly clips on environment, the combat is hella clunky, the voice acting as well as writing are sub par and the character models look like they literally came straight from one of those sex games that exist solely to sell steam cards. The weapon upgrade system completely bugged out on me, and a lot of my gametime was spent backtracking through heavily dated maps aimlessly looking for collectibles. Some achievements appear broken. There's a huge amount of character customization, however almost all of it nonsensical like bunny ears and minipants. And yet. There's something about the ambition here. The devs obviously cared a lot about this game, and have pulled in influences seemingly from the most random reaches of pop culture to deliver a strangely compelling game world. There's zombies, mutants, kobolds, hell they even threw in a unicorn (or was it a pegasus? one or the other) for seemingly no reason whatsoever. There's a shadowy government organisation that for whatever reason has a base on a space station orbiting earth. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2865828706 I cant pinpoint where it happened, b…6 found this helpful
Fun little adventure.
------------------------ This game for some reason reminds me of Deus Ex and The Secret World. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You get to visit some strange places and fight weird creatures and meet crazy allies. Voice acting is kinda soothing, almost ASMR, i kinda like it, especially Lux. Relaxing. You also get to customize Lux with various clothing, accessories and hairstyles that you get as a loot from enemies, this can be quite addicting at times. Each crazy map also fun to explore. ------------------------------------- For such a low price, this game is quite fun and relaxing to play at times. Definitely recommend.4 found this helpful
I play this game on and off, only played 2.6 Hours, I've enjoyed what I've played thus far. The game gets better with each update, most developers would have given up by now, but they still work on the game four years after release. Kudos to them.2 found this helpful
they up date the game and you lose all your stuff and saves ill waste no more time on this ♥♥♥♥
I understand this is a small, single-dev project but it's been going on for years and the improvements it definitely needs have not materialized: - animations are janky and awkward - menus are annoying to navigate (controls do not switch from gamepad to keyboard mouse and back) - combat feels stale, there is no reaction to damage/explosions, physics are almost non-existant - non-skippable dialogue, need I say more? - horrible lighting Instead of making fundamental quality and quality-of-life improvements, the dev releases minor bugfixes and more "outfits" periodically.
