About MatchyGotchy Z

MatchyGotchy Z is a colorful digital pet experience that combines idle clicker elements with a new take on pet-raising simulation: trainable personalities. The pets can have jobs based on their natural skills, but only you get to define your pet's personality through gameplay - not itemization or goal oriented milestones.

Stars are born from the energy roaming through the galaxy, they exist to conserve and transform the balance of life. Only few get to transform energy into magic, those are Rocket Surgeons. In MatchyGotchy Z, you get to care after regular stars and turn them into the Rocket Surgeons they were born to be! There are 8 pets available, along with multiple NPC's to keep you company in Starbase.

Introducing Zoot as the main currency, you can now discover new places like Zootlandia, the money trade house, and MatchyMart, the galaxy's monster store. Along with a much larger laboratory with multiple wings, you can now have a diversity of actions, places and items to provide for all your customization needs.

Features:

  • Combining pet sims and clicker mechanics, you can get to train your pets with the personality you like best. They can enjoy singing, or they can enjoy working - it depends entirely on you. Not on food, or any other goal oriented pre-defined trait, but your gameplay.
  • New characters included: Stardust, Starbase derpsome linguist; Era, MatchyMart's funtastic clerk; and Zee, Zootlandia's spoopy smart analyst.
  • 10 new customizable games to enjoy: cups, hackysack, cards and more.
  • New locations: laboratory expansion, MatchyMart and Zootlandia.
  • Introducing Zoot as MatchyGotchy currency. You can save or invest your money in Zootlandia.
  • Full user customization. You can now buy food, change outfit and console colors in MatchyMart.
  • Access to Xanadu’s legendary Space Water Park, BIG X!
  • Monster archive inventory, MatchyDex. Keep track of all the new characters and items, and learn about them.
  • Over 40 achivements, leaderboards, could save, and Steam cards as soon as Steam allows it.
  • Early Access schedule with active community support: you can vote and comment on content before it goes live. Exclusive access via Discord during Early Acess.

MatchyGotchy Z is an expanded and revamped experience in the MatchyGotchy series, including a universe of fresh new options for returning players. For new players, we would like to welcome you into the Matchyverse.

Absolutely adorable nostalgia of taking care of digital pets. Can be played in a window whilst you work, or give your full attention to these little space rocket surgeons! Such cute clicking! ~☆ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jF-BMavztRw

For fans of Tamagotchis back in the day, or for genuine wholesome fun. They are slowly but surely updating. For those on the fence, try out their first game MatchyGotchy to get an idea of the gameplay. What has been added is many minigames, food to feed them, etc. All in all, a charming heart warming experience.

I played this game, and it was cute, but not my thing. ...then I let my kids loose on it, and they LOVE this game. It has an adorable aesthetic and keeps them wanting to unlock the next thing and check on all their stars. If you have fairly young kids, this game is a great one for them and you don't have to worry about them getting stuck or scared or seeing something inappropriate, and it will entertain them for hours on end.

I saw this game on sale for a little over a dollar and thought I would give it a try since I played the free version. It wasn't long before I realized it wasn't that much different from the free version and looking closer this game hasn't had a content update in a very long time. The only update recently being Russian language but no game content updates for years. Not to mention for an idle/pet game it uses a lot of my CPU, making it go over 30-35% usage with just the game up and nothing else when normally my CPU is near 1-2% usage. Way more than the free version uses, which I launched to compare. There isn't much different going on between the two versions so I don't understand why this one does this. Even if it had more content just for the fact alone that it uses up so much CPU makes it not worth it since the point of an idle game is to idle and do something else, but if it runs my computer that hard I really don't want it running while I'm doing other things. So for that reason and that the game seems to be abandoned I don't recommend this game.
