Pray to RNG gods and hope for luck. That's the most you can do in this "game". Oh, and battle with the bugs. Not worth the time it requires running.2 found this helpful
I like this game but why do you have to buy the eggs and not earn them with like daily missions or something like that, btw I really want the dimorphodon
not alot to do, this game is for people who just want a little extra background noise. wait for egs and toys to drop, open egs and repeat. 6/10 (boring if its the only thing running)
Right. I've been playing long enough to discover a couple things and get excited about more upcoming things. Make use of the "unsummon" to keep it from getting completely insane with pet copies. The flying critters will lock on to your cursor and follow it around until it gets bored. It seems to happen randomly, and I have yet to find a sweet spot on the monitor to get it to let go. Another way to keep your screen useful as the chaos goes on is to shrink the size of the pets in Settings. That's all I'm giving out for now. I have put a few dollars into the spendier eggs to get a bigger variety of creature faster. But that was dozens of hours ago and pretty unnecessary. Overall, this is a fun thing to have going while doing anything other than working or studying. Reading is a new adventure with creatures flying across the page for no good reason. This is a winning idler. I am very much a fan.

You will be prompted to and expected to give money/credit card details to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.[/quote] "Desktop Pets" is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, "Desktop Pets" is a software application and nasty cash grab where you get a bunch of garbage "desktop pets", you know, like the Bonzi Buddy spamware/spyware from the 1990s, only this one is a more direct attempt to gouge money out of gamers (although I guess we can't rule out spyware too, it's the same general idea). For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives…
